What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My 14 yo daughter’s RR Canoe.

I gave it to her a while ago and she carries it all the time.

Yesterday she and her sister went kayaking for a couple hours.
When they returned they told me all about their adventures, how the explored the lake, got to a creek with some rapids etc.
My14 yo then said as she gave me my phone
“ Oh, and I took a really nice picture of my knife” :)

Thank you :)
Yes , very proud of her !
For her recent 14 birthday she picked a Case mini copperlock in smooth chestnut bone .
It should arrive this week  :)

thank you for sharing this! It’s one of the most awesome posts I’ve seen in a long time. Good for her! Good for both of you. This might be another thing you can bond over for a lifetime.

Proof positive that knives are more than just a tool.

I’m very happy to hear things like this. Cherish this for every second she’s interested, my friend!

I’ve had these two favorites in my pocket today. We’ve been busy all day, but now I’m settling in for the evening. We’ve got a big pot of chili on the stove. I’m getting excited because finally I can say, IT’S FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE! :D

So cool! My daughter turns two in December and I hope to share similar experiences with her in the future. Thanks for posting!

I was out in the shed this morning and saw my first Woolly Bear Caterpillar of the season. According to folklore the size of the brown and black bands indicate what kind of winter we'll have. This guy is telling me that it'll be a mild winter, which is fine by me.
Since I had my Cramer LC Jr in my pocket today, and the amber stag is very similar to Woolly Bear colors, I gave my knife a name. "Woolly Bear Trapper" it is!

Really is a remarkable similarity in color. Good idea for a knife name too! OH

And treasure every moment.
My wife just showed me in her Facebook memories a pic of the play table I made my daughter when she was one with all her “Thomas the tank engine” “ choo choos” :)
Time flies and we hold onto precious memories :)
