Beautiful Rams Horn James! :thumbsup: :cool:

Love the satin finish and clean look of this knife, Spaten. Nice shield choice as well. :thumbsup:

A couple of fine knives, Paul. Two great patterns with exceptional jigging and color to the bones. :thumbsup:

Wooden Wednesday, why not? My pairing for today.

Paul, those are gorgeous. Each one is a work of art.

Thank you for your kind comments, Gary. I haven't the bravery to patina most of my knives although I have done so to several knives. A well done patina does look.

Boy, things just tend to get away from me:oops: Thanks for the knife compliments everyone:thumbsup:

Here is another photo or two of my modded Queen Copperhead in cocobolo wood scales. I know that they don’t look like cocobolo but this what wood looks like 20 some years later. I really like this knife, without the copperhead bump it is easier to hold for me and D2 is a good solid steel choice. I am sorry to see Queen Cutlery go under.

Try kerosene for a few days. My Grandfather showed me how well it penetrates rust and gets things moving.
But will the handles survive? If it’s cellulose, I’d watch out.
@Whetstone39 ~ thanks, Tom!
Thank you on the kerosene recommendation, I’m making a bit of headway getting the blades out.
I’ve gotten an invitation to the lake for dinner so I’m going to let it soak for awhile. Good evening image.jpg

Your fixed blade looks fairly indestructible, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

That's a rut I'd welcome being in, Will! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Stellar stag on your HHB lambsfoot, Bill! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I appreciate all the encouraging words, guys! :)

Is that your monogram in the filework, Vince? Super classy!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

:D:thumbsup:

As Dean mentioned, the color coordination between knives and background is remarkable in these shots, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Couple of classic knives from a couple of classy members, Jon! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Welcome back, Tom; good to see your daily double again! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
My Big Knife this week happens to be a Case slimline trapper you sent me! :eek:

Thanks, Dean. :) Most knives I acquire, including the pen knife, spend their first couple of weeks with me on the kitchen counter and get used a lot for food prep, cutting up plenty of fruits and vegetables and getting an occasional dousing in the jar of hot pepper rings.
Your Alox Solo looks great! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Radiant red Alox, José! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

That Possum Skinner is a heavenly knife, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

2019 introduced us to those sensational knives! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Another trick that has worked well for me in removing and neutralizing red iron oxide is red wine vinegar. It does nothing for lubrication, but it does wonders for removing rust from all the little nooks and crannies.
