Thats a nice one P, I was tempted to snag that one myself, if I could find one of those ebony 25s like you have it would be mine.

Thanks!

I hemmed, hawed, and pounced, as is my wont. I've had one on my radar (in theory) since I first saw pictures of Bigfattyt's. 'Twas a very generous sale, and I am grateful to now own such a fine knife.

The ebony barlows are mighty great in their own right, however; I hope you can find one someday. GEC got many things right with that one, including the lack of shield, blade etch, or other ornamentation. Less definitely adds up to more in this instance, and the resulting simplicity remains very appealing to me.

I'm leaving tomorrow to spend thanksgiving with my family in Ohio and Indiana. Trying to decide tonight which ones to take with me.

I know for sure my old childhood Colonial is going.

Can't imagine going away and leaving the peanut at home.

I probably ought to have at least one stockman with me for that very useful sheepsfoot blade, but which one?

thats a nice looking knife. i like the simple wood covers on it. i think its very eye-catching.

Thank you. It is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, while compiling this travel list I discovered this Schrade Walden 832 has gone AWOL. Hope it turns up soon.

Green olives, yum...now if someone starts posting bacon too I'm gonna have to make something to eat :p

Two favorites for Sunday, watch pocket Peanut:

and my Kabar/CSC Dog Head stockman in my front pocket:

I've also been busy and bought a couple stockman's, they've turned out to be my favorite larger pattern with Peanut's for watch pocket and work khakis carry. I think I might have too many knives now and need to do a GA :D

Pic is from yesterday while I was reviewing the text I'd assigned my class to read for today, but it's in my pocket today too. Saturday it arrived back from being repaired at GEC -- happy camper!

I'm off work this week, so I'll be carrying something more to my liking than the tiny knives I am allowed at work.

Latest acquisition is a Case Mini Wharncliffe Trapper. I'll likely carry that all week as an extended "test drive". No pics at the moment. Both cameras in the household are apparently MIA, casualties of either the recent kitchen remodel or the crash and rebuild of my main computer.

Thanks, Jim. Case got that one right (thanks to Tony Bose). Came a little on the dull side but that was fixed easily enough.

Heading out for a few hours with this little Chamblin Swayback in my pocket.

I know what you mean about Case getting those dogleg's right, Elliot. I enjoy carrying my damascus version as well.

Another photo from yesterday's walk. Not one of my best, but it shows the kind of pairing I take into the woods. Always since I was a kid, it was machete and a pocket knife for whittling.
