sitflyer- Could you please tell me what model GEC you're holding. In terms of what I EDC I'm a confirmed Spyderco guy because they're so convenient to use (and for other reasons) but the knife you're showing surely is attractive! Thanks.

Ken Erickson: 3.75" Cattle Knife (CPM-154). I don't ordinarily display this many images of it but every now and again I think it needs to be seen more fully...especially for new folks who haven't had a chance to appreciate Ken's great work.

That's a fine looking knife, Elliott. I'd say Ken did himself proud with that one. I really like the jigging on that bone too.

Thanks, Gary...it's one of, if not "the" knife that if I were forced to give up all others would remain with me forever. It was a fantastic knife to collaborate on with Ken and I'm very proud of the result.

When Jerry Halfrich wes at my home in June he just loved this knife.

About a month ago, I saw where my favorite inet retailer had some new single blade sowbellies for sale, so I put a couple in my cart. When it came time to order my knives for the 2000 post give away, they were sold out. So, I ordered the give away knife from another firm that I buy from occasionally, and the other knife from one I haven't ordered from so much. Well, you guys have (probably) seen the knife I bought for the give away as it is a few posts upstream from this one. The other knife made it to me Saturday and after sharpening, touching up the edge, it is my companion for today. My first stag damascus Case knife --

Hi buckthorn, it's a model #7211 in 440C and Ruby Red...

A little over a week ago I posted a pic of the knives that followed me on a dive trip. The Canoe and "other" little one shown were the only two to follow me home.( The Canoe would have been gifted as well, but it sat waiting for me in my vehicle at the motel Stateside) I saw one of the Dive masters cutting open the juice boxes with a piece of sharpened hacksaw blade...They were like kids at Christmas when I gave them their new knives :)

Today, and probably for many more, I am Totin' this new (to me :) ) GEC #72 :D
Their 440C takes a wicked shahp edge...;)

Elliot, it's like I can't wait to see what you post!!! That Cattle knife is unbelievable!!!

I can see why that one if all others had to go it would remain---stunning my friend:thumbup:

I like the looks of that, Ed. I think you'll be very happy with Case's Thomas Damascus. I know I am.

Here's a fresh picture of my Halfrich Small Rounder. Elliott mentioned Jerry a few posts back and I figured "Why not?". I love this knife and the colors are just right for Thanksgiving.

Thank you, brother. It means a lot coming from you.

Gary, that Rounder is great!

Gary, that Halfrich small rounder is wonderful!!! Elliott, I missed your stockman when you posted it somehow, but had to go back and look at it. Not the first time I've seen it of course, but what a beauty it is!!

Gary, the damascus on that sowbelly looked like it had been sharpened on a concrete block when I took it out of the package, but it only took a little work to get it shaving sharp. I really like the look of the raindrop damascus; it actually is the first damascus blade I have owned.

Mdsmith, that Texas jack looks mighty fine; it's one of my favorite patterns. I have 3 different versions of it including one just like yours. I think you will like it.
