What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We’ve been working on leaves today. Pam was smart and wore a mask! ;) Guess who didn’t! I’m kicking back to relax, blow my nose some more, and watch some football. I guess you could say I’ve been hanging around with two blondes today. Y’all stay safe out there! :)

I've heard there was an imposter around, so I have changed my appearance to stay one step ahead of him!!;)View attachment 1455782
Not as obvious, but I also had my second cataract changed! Now I can see out of both eyes, equally!! I've seen the light!!:D:cool:

Congrats on your newly improved vision, Charlie… but wait’ll you see what some of those fellas at the next GEC Rendezvous really look like! ;) (Just kidding! :D)

I had my new BF Viper with me today. I’ve never really gone for any of the modern traditionals before, but I’m liking this one so far.

Thanks Harry!! I noticed the color change before, but with the second eye done, White is REALLY white! I used to argue about color with Joanne (my artist wife!!) all the time!! Now I am better prepared!!:D

Your answer brought a chuckle from Nancy and I my friend . We both know what it is like . I have sometimes wondered when you and Joanne celebrate Thanksgiving ????

Great news, Charlie!
One of the very best knives on view in the Forum in recent times. I think I know what I'm talking about too;) I'm very much not envious by nature but this knife tests even my equanimity..:D
Thanks, Will. One of my best. I have to remember to close it slowly--it's more traditional: no blade stop. Great action, snaps firmly open.

Upcoming week's pocket stuffings - including the Boker Barlow Expedition and Alox Cadet for company. Just a note for anyone interested, the slightly rough texture of the matte micarta grabs and holds little pieces of the suede when I pull it from the slip, and the color of the handle turns more white-ish. May not be using a slip with this one.

Very nice forum knife Barrett, great covers:thumbsup: I too like a fob on my forum knife as it rides back pocket in a slip. Now that punch on the Drover, it commands ones respect and attention:eek: Great illustration there with the pencil;)

That’s good to know, mine should be here sometime this week.

IMHO not a huge deal, but it might bug some folk. Just a little surprised the olive was more of a very pale green when I pulled it from the slip. Rubbed the scales with an old t-shirt, then used the knife as a fidget for a little while and it's almost back to normal. Once the slip wears in well (still new-ish) I'm sure it won't be an issue.

For Sunday, I'm carrying my Case mini copperlock in natural bone.

I’ve seen these before, but it just struck me gazing at yours ~ Case did a masterpiece in designing that blade!

Been carrying this Case CV Sod Buster Jr. all day and when lunch time raised it's ugly head, I thought a "Tiny Tots" Sardine sandwich would be good. Any sardines would do but I particularly like "Tiny Tots". Lightly buttered bread, sardines, salt & pepper, lightly sprinkled with apple cider vinegar, and you're pretty close to heaven.

Never heard of that brand, so maybe it’s regional? Always been a King Oscar guy, or Beachcliff in a pinch.
But they’re salty enough for me right out of the can!
I was smart to marry a girl who doesn’t like sardines...more for me:D
It is a Windy , Cloudy , Sprinkley , and Snow Flurries type of day here . Played cards , went to get some apple cider and then Culvers , and now staying inside all the while with these in Slips , from CK and @sunknife , in my pockets . Ironwood and Pickle Knife.

Harry
I looked out back this afternoon, and asked Vik “hey! Is that SNOW?
She said it is called snain.
I like the new one, my friend!
I could work my excellent teeth on those  As a European, I don't have the gleaming perfect teeth we see on the American media ;) :D But I do have every single tooth in my head and very few fillings, at least something right
at my age:eek: Decided to lay off bread, I love all kinds of it but it doesn't love me at all....Oh yeah, that's a grand knife too, Barehead Spear, real taste-like the bread!

Regards, Will
I concur on that barehead jack, but must clarify one thing, Will.
Americans don’t have the white teeth you see on American tv, either.

I sometimes like some variety, and one thing i do is, open can, pour oil out and leave sardines in can and cover with any sort of vinegar, i like apple cider and malt, but it depends on your tastes. Leave it for at least half an hour but longer if you like.:p
