Thank you Gary. Was a fine respite. :thumbsup:

The knife is a custom L'AURILLAC by French master - Pierre-Yves Joyeux
Monsieur Joyeux's
shop is called Atelier la Clef des Champs (The key to the fields is the literal translation but in French la clef des champs has the colloquial meaning of liberation)

That's a real beauty, Ray.

Character in spades on the Orchard Gem there Dean:cool::cool::cool: My Lick Creek version of Lyle's is my heavy user:thumbsup:

Thank you, Paul. Lyle and Charlie's collaboration with GEC to get these made was a watershed moment in modern knife history.

I like seeing your Lick Creek version as I think the bone has a better look to it than mine. :)

You have a lot of knives with outstanding bone, Dean, including these two! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you, Gary.

Thanks, Dean; the 897UH is the standard by which I judge other medium stockman patterns. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
You caught me off-guard with your canoe-ranking question! :eek::rolleyes: The canoes I have with more than 2 blades tend to rank highly due to their relative rarity and the fact that they often give me the stockman blade combo I favor in the symmetric, smooth-profile frame I favor. But there are some of my 2-blade canoes that probably rank higher than any of my canoes with more blades than usual. A dependable ranking would require more analysis, but I'd estimate that the 4-blade Fight'n Rooster is certainly in my Top Ten (but probably not Top Five).

Thank you for your Canoe ranking information. I suspected that Fight'n Rooster would be high on the list.

A little late posting my carry today, my picture hosting site was down this morning.
Had a fun morning with my wife and son. Started with hot chocolate at Starbucks, then visited a new hardware store in town, then strolled around the used car lot at the college, and finished up with a big meal at the local diner. Now just sitting back and watching the football games on TV. A pretty perfect day so far.
Go Hawks! :cool::thumbsup:

Been carrying this Case CV Sod Buster Jr. all day and when lunch time raised it's ugly head, I thought a "Tiny Tots" Sardine sandwich would be good. Any sardines would do but I particularly like "Tiny Tots". Lightly buttered bread, sardines, salt & pepper, lightly sprinkled with apple cider vinegar, and you're pretty close to heaven.

Terrific Teutons JJ :) :thumbsup:
Thanks Jack!!!
Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. I've been trying to post all morning, but my phone keeps ringing :rolleyes: It was raining heavily when I started out, but is sunny outside now :rolleyes: Think I'm going to be busy indoors unfortunately, but at least I've got swanky pockets! :D ;) Have a great Sunday everyone :thumbsup:
