Thanks Gary, that's an interesting RR model, I've not seen that one before :) :thumbsup:

Lady Luck has smiled bountifully on me today, as my Random Tuesday grab was this Case Swayback Jack, a very kind gift from @Peregrin a couple of years back :) Pairing it with my regular Hartshead Barlow :thumbsup:

Those Case Swayback Jacks are a magnificent pattern!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
Thanks for the comment on my RR baby copperhead, Jack. I've had it for over 4 years, and in fact, I posted it 5 weeks ago. I don't know why I thought it was part of my rotation last week; my mind must need some antifreeze. :( What I actually carried in the role of a peanut-like knife (which for me often simply means "kind of small") was a chestnut jigged bone CV Swayback Jack, a generous gift from Paul Hilborn:

Thank you! I think it should be the late 50s or 60s, because the background of the shield used to be red. Before that in the 50s they had a dark (sort of black-ish) background but were otherwise the same.
Thanks for the helpful information. :)

Definitely blue! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Couple of champs, Paul! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

I love it GT! I can’t wait till more colors are available in the USA. You can’t got wrong with either one. I carry my pioneer x more because a saw is not often needed.
Thanks for your input, Jon. :)

Thanks, GEC #19 Little Rattler
I appreciate the ID. :)

Thanks, GT! I picked it up earlier this year at an antique shop hear in town. It just has those two blades you see in the picture.
My eyes were trying to tell me there were 2 blades stacked one on the other at the bottom of the photo. o_O:rolleyes:

Very cool little knife, didn’t know RR made a baby copperhead. Now I have another knife I’ll have to hunt down!:D
Thanks. :) I think it's a handsome and useful small pen knife.

Trust me GT, I'm not laughing at you... I'm laughing WITH you. ;)
:thumbsup:;) Just teaching one class this semester, that started with 32 students, so I needed a fairly large space to maintain recommended social distancing. I was assigned to the lobby of a big newer building about .5 miles from my office. I checked it out before classes started and thought it should work out OK. But at the start of my first class, I intended to ask my students to introduce themselves to me and the class (as I usually do), and the first person did so. But neither I nor any of the students could hear her! The acoustics in that lobby (about 30' ceiling and the top 20' jammed with HVAC ducts/equipment) were AWFUL! I was able to use a microphone so students could hear me, but I couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear each other. One of my main strategies in that class is frequent discussion, and it was impossible. :mad:

Happy Tuesday Everybody
What a Black Beauty!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

:thumbsup::D:thumbsup: Perfect match indeed, and so seasonal!

Thank you, Gary. Regarding scissors on the Farmer (aka Farmer X), I would not want them. The Farmer is just right as it is! Nice knife, by the way.:D
Thanks for your valued opinion, Dean. :)
Your scratted Ancient is such a memorable knife! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Toting a toothpick and a trapper for my Tuesday twosome. :)
Blown away by that Black Box toothpick!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Quality quartet Gary :) :thumbsup:

#66 Stockman and my Hartshead Barlow for me today :) :thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. :)
Peerless pair for you in that post (when ever it was :rolleyes:)! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you very much, Gary. I believe it is the Excelsior.:):thumbsup::thumbsup:
Today in the pocket with Victorinox Pioneer Settler old cross.:thumbsup:;)

You've been posting some SAKs I don't often see, José! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
That Settler is very desirable!

I bought some duluth cargo pants, which have tons of great pockets, and I’m really trying to be conservative on how many knives I fill them with. :eek:

Great choice on your micarta 43s!
I love that knife.
These.......

Love ‘em both. The Henkles has class, and the MM has nice stag!
An old friend in my pocket a day early.
A few more years of sharpening and that spey will be an awl.
John, it’s ok. A lot of us get a little belly as we age.

5K Qs 5K Qs ~ thank you for the kind comment on my mod, my friend.

Regarding the poor acoustics in your class, I’ll bet masks don’t help either.
Lotsa people mumbling under masks these days.:rolleyes:

That sounds very frustrating, GT.
Here's hoping 2021 will be a much better year for teachers.

What a Black Beauty!!
Thank you, GT. :)

Weren't those inexpensive knives a revelation Gev? :cool: :thumbsup:

Grabbed the handy Pocket Carver for a quick couple cuts, adding the 86 for a bit more beef. :)

Looks like you've some work in mind JJ ;) Love the tortoise-shell acrylic on your 86 :) :thumbsup:

Thank you, Jack. :)
One of my original purchases when I returned to traditional knives.
It serves double duty as an occasional pocket knife and full time work bench knife.

Very cool looking knife. :cool::thumbsup:
You are ready for any meat cleaving emergencies. I feel sorry for your sandwich today. ;)
