I also like to carry a designated gift/package opening knife on Christmas, something with one or more small blades and at least one straight edge, good for cutting tape, ribbon, plastic packaging, etc. When I bought this #62 Pocket Carver earlier this year, this was one of the uses I had in mind for it.
