What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Distinctive pair, Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for all the kind words about Rachel's artistry on my canoe. :) I asked her to decorate the pile side in some kind of Native American canoe fashion. I sent her some photos of the place on Lake Huron my wife, daughter (usually), and I have gone for vacation for about 30 years, and asked her if she could use them to do something with the mark side bone, and she came up with a great composite of several photos (with a definite nod to the blade etch on some Case canoes). :thumbsup::cool::cool::thumbsup:

Your ebony lambsfoot is icy cool! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Maybe the warm compliments from BF members above can drive some of the glaze off the rosemary. ;)

Thanks Gary, thanks for telling us a bit more about your special Canoe, Rachel is a class act :cool: :) :thumbsup:

Thanks, Jack. It has been difficult to put it down since it arrived. Yesterday was my third child’s birthday—she loves yellow, so it will go to her when she’s ready. All four of my children have at least one GEC set aside for them, as well as a SAK field master, and a fixed blade.

The scene in your last pic has make me very jealous! I think I’ll hike again tomorrow!

That's sweet Tony, I hope your daughter had a lovely birthday :) I can actually remember my 3rd birthday - struggling a bit with last week though! :eek: :rolleyes: :D ;) :thumbsup:

I can totally sympathize--with the move to remote working, much of the last year has been a blur.

My daughter did have a great day--she had her first 6 mile (birthday) hike last weekend, lots of presents yesterday, with her favorite meals for lunch and dinner--a very happy 8 year old indeed.

Haha! Yes, warm compliments and kind deeds are melting the ice. Plus, we are expected to get above freezing today, for the first time in a week - a local weather record, I believe. :cool::thumbsup:

I'm carrying a new Glitter Gold TC Barlow, that @untytled was generous to pass to me like a true Porch Neighbor. I'm carrying it, along with Grandpa's old Glitter Gold Peanut that @glennbad re-covered for me a while back. They're slightly different in color, but equal in sparkle. I'm trying to capture it in photos, and want to take a few more before the patina starts and the frozen background is melted. :)

Tony, I'm terribly sorry for making such a dog's dinner of both your post, and mine! :eek: That sounds like a wonderful birthday though :) :thumbsup:

Enjoy the heatwave Rachel :rolleyes: ;) That glittery pair go together well :cool: The old folks in Sheffield would have called those covers 'shunkle'! :D :thumbsup:

It's always a treat to see your Mauser, Jack. :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Admirable knife, Dean! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
I can relate to your comment about shoveling, although I haven't shoveled since Wednesday morning, and I already see vast improvement in the cracks in the skin at the tips of my thumbs and fingers. ;)

That handle looks great! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: I have one of those knives, and its a favorite of mine. Here's a pic for comparison to your impressive re-handle:

Thank you, Gary. I've got the cracks in my thumb and finger from the cold, dry air outside, also. Today, is going to be an inside not shoveling day. :)

Your Case mini copperlock is sharp looking, Gary. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
