The restaurant at the Stockyards in town opened Monday so, we're headed there for lunch. They make a killer Chicken Fried Steak with white gravy and mashed potatoes. Anything can happen at the Stockyards so a heavy knife is appropriate for this excursion; therefore, this Buck 500 will be going along. No cattle auction today but they'll probably have one this Saturday although "virtual cattle sales" are becoming more prevalent these days.

One more for today... I pulled off this balancing act with a piece of deadfall: my Stetson Open Road and the Winchester.

Thank you JohnDF I'm not sure its worthy of such high praise but I truly appreciate it. A few things went sideways in that build but I'm kinda glad they did because it makes a great knife for me. An easy choice to keep. The next ones will be better!
