Very cool  Welcome to The Porch

Great pic Les

Thank you JJ :) Me too, if our knife laws weren't so stupid, I'd carry a FB and a slipjoint everyday, as I did when I was a boy
Thanks, Jack! Hope your day has been pleasant.

Don Hanson III, his son, and his brother make a line of knives bearing the Steam Mill stamp. The micarta is vintage, and the steel comes from old saw mill blades. (Do I remember that correctly @Don Hanson III ?) Regardless, they are extremely nice knives with that special Hanson touch!

@Chui three eggs and bacon! You have me heading to the kitchen! Always great to see your posts Paul.

@ballex , that Douk Douk Tiki Macina is very beautiful and interesting. Could you please tell us about it? What is the blade shape intended for? Thanks for showing it to us.

Always a welcome sight.
More and more grass is being exposed, but the snow is still knee deep in my gardens:(
I did see a flying insect the other day! Brave little soul.
The old peachseed 861 usually comes out on weekends. It’s not fond of hard work, and likes to just hang around looking pretty.

I love knives like this! How do you carry it? Belt sheath? Pocket sheath?

Unlike most folks here, I've never been a huge fan of Opinels (I'm hiding behind the sofa at the moment)…

JACK!!  I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed. :(

;) :D

This one, and a passage from Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. The passage describes an inscription on one of the character's rifle, so I thought it fitting. Have a great day; some amazing pics today!

That’s a cool knife. And Cormac McCarthy one of my favorite feel-good authors. o_O :D

These Barlows today :

Harry

Beautiful old Barlows, Harry!

Was that Charlie's Texas Camp Knife? I remember thinking that would be too big and heavy for me to carry when it first appeared, but I always enjoy seeing the ones posted, and have certainly warmed to it :) Cool pics

I thought the same thing, Jack, and I probably wouldn’t have carried it much, but looking back, I do regret not picking one up.

TGIF!!!

Grabbed the B&S to give the UJ a rest. I really like the blade on the B&S with the long pull and swedge though - may stick with it through the weekend.

29 resting on some Old Bay - anyone from the east coast knows its glory

Very appetizing microwaved shepherds pie...

Old Bay on eggs, Old Bay on popcorn, Old Bay on potato salad, Old Bay on macaroni and cheese - along with air, water, and hot sauce, it is one of the critical requirements needed to sustain human life. If they can’t figure out a way to manufacture it on Mars, any attempts at colonization are doomed...

How about Old Bay sunflower seeds? :D
