What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Excellent Continental wooden pair!:thumbsup::cool: How do you like that Aitor Pastor?
- GT
Thanks GT! The Aitor Pastor is a nice inexpensive knife. It's my "hard use" folder.:D I like the size (10 cm closed). Very comfortable in the hand. Handles(laminated wood) are a bit thicker than a yellow delrin Case sod buster. It has decent stainless steel. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge pretty well. It has a strong pull which I like.

Generally my wife is supportive of my photography habit as long as it doesn't cost too much... As for being allowed in the delivery room with a camera, I was allowed when my daughter was born, but I had to stay by the head of the bed! I only took pictures after she was born anyway.
...
;)

You got that right, David!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Thanks GT! The Farmer X's arrived and I am really liking it. I think it will supplant my Pioneer X. Paired with a small fixed blade it may be my favorite combination I have tried so far.

Very cool, Tom; always nice when an "experiment" turns out to be an improvement!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Are both your Farmer Xs red?

Thank you for your comments, Gary. Regarding using a congress knife; I had the same feeling the first time I used one. I used this one for a couple things the day I posted it and I don't remember having a problem.
...
Thanks for your opinion on using a congress pattern, Dean.:cool::cool:

For TC Tuesday, I'm carrying the Ancient One 2.0.

Thanks Gary!!! Yes, at least the ones I have :)
Thanks for the Pocket-Eze info, JJ. :)

Prime pair of lambsfoot TEWs, Harry!:thumbsup::cool:

Apologies for missing everyone's knives the past few days, I haven't been able to access the internet, except in an extremely limited way, and getting matters resolved during our current state of lockdown was extremely difficult o_O Hoping I've got it fixed now :confused:I hope everyone's keeping well :) I've mainly been carrying these two while I've been away, and again today - my Hartshead Barlow and a Maserin Filiscjna
...
Welcome back, Jack; I hope the tech problems are solved! :):thumbsup: Good to see you didn't lose your stag HHB while you were "away"! ;)

Boker Trapper for wooden Wednesday.

Good wood! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs ~ I carry a spare of my car key, and house key (old habit) in my left front pocket, with an Esquire on it. I like it’s larger size better than the Vic Classic.
It’s my most used knife.
Interesting info, Jeff.:cool::thumbsup: I like that the Esquire has the blade on the opposite end from the key ring attachment, unlike the Classic; that seems a better design to me. But my daily carry of a little knife like those is the Vic Minichamp - definitely thicker, I like the little Wharncliffe blade, Philips/bottle opener, and retractable ink pen, along with file and scissors.

I just finished 3d printing a bunch of small boxes for encapsulating some circuit boards. I know I should use the X-acto knives for trimming, but I'll take any excuse to use the peanut.

Very cool photo! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Schrade 330T old timer, wonderful carry.

Thanks Gus! Full disclosure, it was cloudy this morning so I put a “vivid” filter on it, but in full light, it doesn’t need it!:D
Handsome wood Euro duo, Todd!:thumbsup::cool:
We're allowed to use filters for our pictures??:rolleyes:

You sure make that Buck look good, Dean!:thumbsup:;)

Toting these two French slicers, both wearing fragrant Juniper wood. :)
Striking pair, JJ; I always enjoy seeing them!:thumbsup::cool:

Just a bit on the sheepfoot and pen with no impact on use.
Thanks for the blade rub info, Dean. :)
Mine has quite a bit, but it doesn't get a turn to be carried very often, so it's not a big deal.

Sorry to hear, but I hope he’s turned that corner. A degree of protection from the virus is worth the occasionally unfortunate price of admission—that’s my position, anyway.

As for learning Greek as a kid, there were many culinary rewards that came with speaking properly to grandma, which helped keep me motivated!
He's doing fine now. He works in a nursing home, so he got his shots quite a while ago.
My paternal grandparents were Dutch immigrants, but they never required me to speak Dutch to get treats! :D

Thanks, the new pocket worn grey bone sure has lods of character.

I'm not afraid to get things done in those boots and I've completed many projects in them, but I always give 'em a stiff brushitat the end of the day condition them regularly and give the toes a good buffing once in a while.

Even after the root digging and concrete busting I did yesterday they clean up nice.

The leather has patina'd like a good carbon steel blade.
...
Thanks for the boot maintenance info; definitely well-cared-for!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

SAK Camper and just arrived Dead Skunk:thumbsup:
YyuWW9.jpg
Congrats on the new 85, Paul; that pair of white-on-red knives go well together!:cool::thumbsup: You must be nuts about the Camper. ;)

Thank you GT. :)
Yes, I just received it in a trade.:thumbsup:
Congrats, John! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary !
Camillus did a nice job on this one being that it is actually Delrin ;)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Oops!:oops:
Thanks for setting me straight, Steve. :)

Thanks GT! The Aitor Pastor is a nice inexpensive knife. It's my "hard use" folder.:D I like the size (10 cm closed). Very comfortable in the hand. Thanks for the detailed info on your Aitor. :) I've got it on my "wish list" at a dealer, and will probably move it to my cart next time I put an order together. ;)

I'm no horticulturalist, and know nothing about rosemary, but we have a lot of perennials in Michigan that look like dead sticks in winter but a miracle occurs in spring! Maybe this link offers hope (or not)?
https://homeguides.sfgate.com/prune-rosemary-after-freeze-20986.html
Thanks for the link. I'm giving it time before I do anything, just in case.
How did you like carrying it? I'm not much of a full-sized trapper fan, but I really like mini trappers and slimline trappers.
The jury's still out. I don't think it'll ever be my favorite pattern, but it's nice to mix things up with a little variety from time to time.

For Thrifty Thursday, I'll carry my newest project: the Barlow you sent me last year.
I'm not sure if I'm finished with it, but I do know I like the uneven coloring of the bone.
