What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great looking knife - Gevonovich! :)

Duane: Those #12 Powderhorn Jacks are great knives... I like mine very much and it were just yours and Eds pics that made get interessted in that pattern. Thanks for that... Is that patina on yours forced or did it get that by regular use?

Thanks Andi, I really do love that knife! Glad you were able to get one too. The blades were blued to keep the pepper spots away...

The blueing looks really good Duane. I love the look of that little easy-open though, which pattern is that?

Another great pic Gevonovich! :)

And WOW! Mike

Duane, thanks and the handles are interesting to me as well, a hard composite ( I've never seen it before or since) worm groove action.

Thank you Andi! Looks like the snow went away for the time being in your part of the world.

Thanks Jack! Hope all is well with your granddaughter.

Yes, all melted away at about 7 - 11° Celsius ... but it will come back, unfortunatelly. The winter can be long here. But we are blessed - other people have much more snow and much more really cold.

Thanks my friend. I was wondering what happened to the snow in your last pics. :D We almost got some but it stopped in Dallas

Well now, that didn't take long, did it? (Well-used already, I'd say.) Looks great! :)

A barlow type of day.

Tremendous picture, "culprit"* and all.

Be careful, you might just get hooked on that little fellow.

You know it! :-)

Been carrying this Case Wharncliffe mini trapper.

I'm probably repeating myself, but I place Case's 3.5" "Mini" wharncliffe trapper in the "Can't go wrong" category-- its blade selection, blade-to-handle ratio, and curves make it a great choice for just about anything. I do like those newer covers.

I took these pictures in the last of the sun yesterday, thinking ahead to save them for "today's" Sunday Picture Show. Unfortunately, today isn't Sunday after all (anyone else have their post-holiday days mixed up?!), and it has since snowed. I'm still carrying this knife, however, so here ya go:

* Railsplitter still started it, but that's the knife that first drew my attention to GEC's #25s....

As predicted last night, I am carrying this Gerber Silver Knight Model 250A in black pearl as inspired by black mamba's post yesterday:

This knife is from the second or later runs of the production. The blades are more hollow ground and the blades are left in as ground (satin) finish. Not quite as good as the original production knives, but still pretty nice.

Yes, sir, they do sparkle. It is hard to capture the true beauty of pearl. At least for me it is. I am a fool for shell handles of all kinds. That particular size SK is my favorite; I have several 250As, some 250Bs and one 250C. The 250C which I have posted several times has wound up to be my most carried of the bunch since it has scratches and scrapes. I tend to use it more because of that. Here's a picture of it:
