Hope everyone has made it through the week

Ticking a few boxes with these two today, my 2018 Guardians SFO, and one of the first #15 Boys Knives
Cool photos of your splendid black/red duo, Jack!

Today’s carry is my Schrade USA 34OT modified jackknife. OH
Interesting mod, Bruce; reminds me a little of a 93OT!

Seeing
@Jack Black’s little Schrade Jack yesterday prompted me to give my faithful redbone Case Peanut a sabbatical.
And these two as well~
A Kabar Swayback Jack, and a frankenstein Scrimshaw Serpentine jack. It has a Schrade blade, but not the one it left the factory with.
Nice trio of knives you're sacrificing at the tree rat shrine, Jeff, although none of them look like "virgins"!

That Kabar swayback looks like a heavy duty workhorse.
Easy peasy today...

A Bulldog Brand Prototype triple-trapper from 1985. With seemingly a thousand or so finger prints embedded in it’s cell covers....
A great Friday and weekend to all

Those fingerprints look really good, Gus!

Can you wipe them off the surface of the celluloid, or are they "chemically engraved" there?
These two are helping me celebrate Black Friday
John, that duo is Serious Black (not to be confused with Harry Potter's godfather

)!

A stag Klaas whittler and a rosewood handled Schatt with a pinchable blade. Love me a blade that smoothly opens without having to use the nail nick.

Splendid pair, Greg; that S&M is elegantly simple!

Got out yesterday. Even though was just to the doctor. But I’m out of the wheelchair! Back vertical. This one, still.

Congrats on the podiatric progress, and that knife is a flaming HOT way to celebrate!

Happy Friday all! Headed into a long weekend, and can't wait.
I'm carrying my Case Medium Jack for Black Friday.

I'm not much of a social media guy (other than BF

), and don't know exactly what "trending" means, but I think those handsome Case medium jacks were trending last week on The Porch!

I guess I didn’t care for the boxwood after all. I did burnt finish, added little ”filework” and then gave the handle some mineral oil.
Really attractive handle mod on your Pallares!

Beautiful Sawcut Case Barlow, GT.
Digging that Case Barlow!
That's a good looking Case Barlow, Gary!
Thanks for the encouraging words, guys.

That model was my favorite among Case's Barlow release a couple of years ago, and the only one I bought. There are lots of beautiful examples of that sawcut Barlow that BF members post here.

Grabbed this super handy Pioneer X and the GEC 62 slicer for my Friday tasks.
Superb pair of knives, JJ!

Sodbuster Jr. and a cotton sampler for planting cotton today.
Very cool couple of knives; I like the red letters on the yellow SBJr!

That's a lot of
flat field you're working!
Couple of classics, Steve, and a pretty cool stump, too!

Watching Roy Rogers with my Roy Rogers...
A better shot of the knife...
That's a dandy, John!

I used to watch Roy Rogers on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, and I remember Roy riding Trigger, and Dale riding Buttercup, and their dog Bullet, and that 3rd guy driving his Jeep Nelly Belle, but I can't think of the character's name.
What a day. My son’s 18th birthday and we picked up the new boat! Finally sitting down to catch up. Here is what I had with me today. A thoughtful gift from Gary along with a scrimshaw kit. Whenever I get up the courage I’m going to try to do some scrimshaw work on this Marlinspike probably to commemorate out new boat! Thanks Gary!

The Lowrance is from our old boat.
You're welcome, Todd, and congrats on the new boat and on your son's birthday!

I hope the marlinspike can add a little something to your nautical adventures!
I carried my urban jack today. I’m glad to have the cattle on irrigated pasture now.
That pasture looks more nutritious than some you've included in your pics.

What breed are your cattle? I grew up on a dairy farm where we had almost all Holsteins, and I could probably identify Gurnseys, Jerseys, and maybe even Brown Swiss, but I don't know anything about beef breeds (except TV Western Texas Longhorns, I guess).

Have a great weekend everyone

Horn-covered Lambsfoot (sample for the 2018 Guardians SFO), and a Stan Shaw Sheepsfoot for me today
Couple of distinctive knives, Jack!

I finally got the Boker 20-20 that I have been thinking to buy. Man oh man, this is a fine knife. The fit and finish are top notch. The design in my opinion is understated but classy. The plum wood scales have a nice color. This is a large knife, 4 inch blade and closed about 5 inches, but still not too heavy. It is best carried in a pocket sheath hanging with a cord from belt or belt tab, or a belt sheath. Spring is just right, not too light or heavy. There was some grittiness in the action, but I used compressed air to clean the knife and put some oil in the mechanism. While this is a fine collectible, I intend to carry and use it. The blade is carbon steel, so I expect it to gather patina.

Congrats on that big new Böker!
