No sir, the Bull Nose is as stiff right now as when I got it in 2017 LOL ... hasn't loosened up one single iota.
I took a hard look at the burgundy micarta, but decided I'd just have to see much better pictures or see it in person to decide.
I have several knives in natural micarta and wanted something a little different but just couldn't pull the trigger on the burgundy based on a computer monitor and faith.
There have been several batches of the Plow and I'm not sure about the consistency of micarta color across the batches,
but I saw a video review of the Plow from 3yrs ago by the man who sells the Plow (a member here), he also questioned the validity of assigning the color burgundy to the Plow
... but he decided to just goes with it because that's what Maserin calls it. Said that somewhere deep in the micarta there might be some burgundy hue.
I probably wouldn't have a problem with it and sure it would grow on me even if I did but just didn't feel a need to take a chance when I also liked the looks of the Bocote and natural micarta.
EDIT: My Bocote disappointed me a bit because it doesn't look ANYWHERE near as nice as the one Bocote Plow pictured on the web site ... but I'm getting used to it. It is what it is I guess.
Cool sheath!I was inspired to carry a small fixed blade with my Eureka today.

Haha!!! That is fantastic! Congrats on your new purchase. I am excited to see some pictures when it arrives - I will definitely need to get one nowRubythroat ... And just like that, after all I said about the burgundy Plow just yesterday. I ordered one today ... even instead of natural micarta.
I did look at a bunch more pictures and just decided heck, get one. Monday is a holiday and tracking says it will be here Tuesday.
Thanks. I made it out of some old boot tops.Cool sheath!
HA !!! Hope it's perfect for ya !!!
Very nicely weathered and shown off, qualityHaven’t posted in a bit, but I’ve mostly been carrying my green bullnose. A good friend of mine got married this past weekend, in which I was honored to be a part of, and I carried my Bell trapper Friday evening and Saturday for that. But since Sunday it has been the 81 in the pocket.
I thought I’d get a picture of it with some well weathered Osage
