Must be a special day to break out all the fine cutlery. 🤠
That Texas Jack is aging to perfection. 🤠

A bit of a random selection for me today. Both past due for use.
Case 62032 CV jack, and F&F 21 Bull Buster...View attachment 1577700View attachment 1577701Mrs Fleschwund reminded me that we’re going to her parents today so she can help them pick colors for a little of their seemingly endless redecorating/remodeling. She’s an interior designer, so I guess if they did not call on their own daughter’s talents, that would be a bad sign.
Anyway, they’re wonderful folks, and we love them dearly, so any excuse to visit and have lunch will suffice.
That is a GREAT pairing Jeff  Enjoy picking those colours buddy! :D ;)

Well, if I'd known I was going to have to spend some time re-planting a load of daffodil bulbs my neighbours' brat inexplicably dug up yesterday, I might have carried something different - and maybe added a cleaver!* ;) Kid is nearly a teenager, and intelligent, but going through a destructive phase. Seeing how his parents carry on, I have some sympathy, but he can stay out of my garden in future : grumpy:

* Edit - I did have my Cold Steel Spetsnaz shovel though! :D

I sold one of these stag senators to @euroken a week ago and instantly regretted it. Had to get another one. Stag isn’t near as nice as on the one I sold him. 😊 Carried it with the S&M trapper today.

That stag might not have a lot of gnarly character, but after you carry it a while, it should get a nice polished depth to it.:thumbsup:

The garden is overrun with weeds, but it's a muddy mess from two weeks of rain, and it's expected to get up to almost 90 degrees today. I think I'll play indoors this afternoon.

Toting a big ol' Case:

It may have been awhile since you carried it, but it certainly looks like it’s gotten a lot of use in the past. It’s got “the look!” 😎👍
Happy Sunday to you all...
You’ve got some real winners John! 😉👍

Just noticed this hadn't posted!

You need one of these signs, Jack. ;)

LOL! :D I generally don't mind the neighbours' kids coming to play in my garden, but I caught the same kid vandalising a tree last week, and another kid climbing up my drainpipe yesterday! Might be time to put something up ;)

It looks like you’ve been chasing the ring.
Yep, Jeff, that's what the osage shavings are from. I've read that osage shaving should not be used as mulch because it is toxic for many plants. I scatter mine under the
ever expanding invasion of buckthorn growing along the border of my shop. The buckthorn just laughs at my efforts to control it.😄

Well, thanks much, Jack! Appreciate it.

Regarding the destructive brat next door, I think you should lie in wait and put that slingshot practice to good use.

Buckthorn is a nastty invasive. If I’m not mistaken, some goofballs imported it from Europe on purpose!
Many state conservation deoartments have buckthorn eradication programs.
I had a small puncture on my wrist from a buckthorn spine which sent me to the emergency room. I ignored it as a mere fleshwound, but an hour later, my wrist had swollen to the size of a softball. They say the sap contains a toxin...

I have since just about completely eradicated it from my property, but have to pull seedlings every year.
