What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I think I may have to Jeff ;) I just spoke to his mother, who told me that he wouldn't do that! Then with a little help from her, he denied it! 😡 Yesterday, when my other neighbour saw him digging in the garden, and then dumping about 50 of the bulbs, and asked why he had done it, he told her, because he felt like it! He then ripped a load more up in front of her, and left them on the ground! 🤬 The parents are too busy taking drugs and eating takeaway to care about their kids
That is a HUGE shame! I can understand deer, birds, racoons, or (insert your favorite wild animals here) making messes in your garden and yard - but a kid that (should) know better?... that is tough!!

Have you considered some of those Looney Tune-like snares, traps or pits? Hear me out... Do you have any extra pianos, anvils, or anything made by ACME lying around? That may solve your problem rather quickly😬

Absolutely beautiful engraving on those bolsters, Sharp & Fiery. Looks great as a contrast to the smooth bone and I especially like how the pattern extends beyond the smooth edging/borders. Striking!!!
Thank you. 😄 Yes! The scrollwork bursting past the borders is one of my favorite things Jake does. It was a must. 😁

That is a GREAT pairing Jeff  Enjoy picking those colours buddy! :D ;)

Well, if I'd known I was going to have to spend some time re-planting a load of daffodil bulbs my neighbours' brat inexplicably dug up yesterday, I might have carried something different - and maybe added a cleaver!* ;) Kid is nearly a teenager, and intelligent, but going through a destructive phase. Seeing how his parents carry on, I have some sympathy, but he can stay out of my garden in future : grumpy:

* Edit - I did have my Cold Steel Spetsnaz shovel though! :D
I highly recommend this sign topped with a Bull Nose 😁

Ironwood Lamb (Skol) and Case Medium Stockman for Wednesday
My school's having graduation tonight. Only supposed to be 95 degrees, and thanks to COVID we will be on the open black top... should be fun. 🤪
Good quartet of blades in a couple of attractive packages, John!
Glad you survived the graduation heat.

I’ll be carrying these two. The Jack again, no reason not to, and because I’m feeling a little fancy, a Boker Curley Burch. View attachment 1575266
Capital carry, Todd; that curly birch makes captivating covers!

I have two of Charlie's finest with me today. I tried to take a pic ala JJ Cahill JJ Cahill , but I just don't have those skills haha. Happy Wednesday!

Two terrific knives, Ross, and I can definitely see the attempt to emulate some of JJ's photo compositions!

I'm carrying my Buck 503 for Wooden Wednesday.

I'm carrying this Case Mini Copperlock today.

Couple of very classy knives, Dean!

A couple of ol' Sheffield made ones for me today. I like how the bone is quite similar on the two.

Beguiling bone bonanza, Dylan!

Paired these two wood covered cutters today; a French Le Thiers slicer and an Al Mar that I found after 25+ years (thought I'd lost it) I refer to as my "special activities" Barlow. :)
Preeminent pair, JJ! Does the Al Mar have a locking blade?

Love that little tortoise shell Gary, I have one just like it! 😎👍
Thanks, Todd. I like mine a lot, and am quite surprised that I have NOT bought more mini canoes (I think I have two).!

Remarkable pair, José!

Terrific Trio of Respectable Rough Riders.
Thanks for the compliment and the alliteration, John.

Al Mar makes great knives. I bought one a few years ago specifically as a gift for my bro-in-law. He’s a great guy and a knife guy, but always carries some high end tactical folder. I thought the Al Mar had enough of a modern flair while still being a porch worthy knife, and I could ease him into being a traditional guy.

So did it work, Jeff? Has your BIL become a traditional knife guy?

Past two days I've been carrying this jigged bone 74 and a ebony handled Winchester sleeveboard pen knife.

Distinguished duo, Greg!

...
Today, Big'un Horn, and a Camillus I've had since my Army days.

That's a pair beyond compare, Dennis!

That yellow Old Timer is cheerful, and not very common, I think!

Kryptonite White Owl

Paradigmatic pen knife, Will!

Today with this Taylors Eye Witness Lambfoot ram’s horn and worked back.
...
That's a lovely knife with glowing handles, José!

Really like that "hi-res" pic, Jeff!

Happy Thursday Everybody.
I've got my Usual Lamb and an AG Russell Rancher for Thrifty Thursday
Those two complement one another in several ways, John!

May was the 4th wettest on record and it's expected to keep raining another week at least. So, I'm carrying the Whale & Squid Barlow. (fits Thrifty Thursday, too)

Stunning work on your Barlow! I hope you're as seaworthy as the knife!

My Eureka is hanging at the park with the kids and I.
I think the handle shape of the Eureka is kinda Goofy, but it sure seems like the folks who have them like the knife a LOT!

I've always liked the look of this one Gary
Are you sure you're not biased because I have a ruler knife in the photo, Jack??

Bunch of good ones today, GT.
Thanks, John.

Gary, I just lurve that Schrade Lambshark
Thanks, Gus.

I went with a different sleeveboard pen than I carried yesterday. Today this older Robeson, paired with a Rough Rider canoe.

Likable couple of knives, Greg!

I have one of those too Gary, I like it but I think I would like it better without the east open notch, or at least a smaller one. 👍
...
Interesting, Todd. For me, the notch seems positioned just right for one of my fingers to settle into it with my usual grip, so I like it!

I can't remember them all.
I do remember I had three little knives in my watch pocket and that was the most uncomfortable thing about it.
There was a modern clipped, two in slips, two with safety pins, three in watch pocket, one in my wallet, and one in back pocket next to my wallet.
The more, the merrier!

I saw those also Gary, but this one was really cool. The problem is I can’t find a place that ships US. Are you going back to Spain anytime soon? Maybe you could pick one up for me! 😂😂😂
...
My daughter no longer lives in Spain, so I don't anticipate returning any time soon. But I think she's planning to go to Spain next month to be in her best friend's COVID-delayed wedding. Don't know if she'll get to any cuchillerias, though, nor whether she could find a "fishy" Taramundi if she did make it to a knife shop!

I carried my Hayn Helper today, and actually used it to cut some hay strings.

The peanut is exquisite, Gary!😮👍
...
Had some time I had to sit still today, so it was photo-OP time, without freaking out the nurses. 🙂

Have a great friday!
Thanks for praising my Rem peanut, Dennis.
Your Schrade-Wostenholm canoe is sublime! I have one of those, but the stag on mine pales in comparison to yours!

...
Fantastic three Gary, I do like the look of that Remington Peanut
...
Have a good Friday, and a great weekend everyone :) I found myself pining for my #66 Jack yesterday, and thought I'd carry it today, with my Hartshead Barlow ;)
...
Superb duo, Jack, and thanks for the kind words!

I like my Black Cat very much, and your Silver Otter is making me think I need to get my Cat a playmate!
