What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

OAK MAM (Thrifty Thursday)
In spite of what's burned into the handle, I have not had this knife since 1870
And I don't live in Portugal
Almost had me believing ... almost

I think that HSB is an Ulster USA (1941-whenever maybe mid 1960s)
I figured it was around that time, though I never knew where they outsourced their pocket knife manufacturing. I believe the large Chicago based HSB
was acquired in the 60s, or so, creating the giant True Value franchise. Thanks for the info!!! :) :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Great shot, looks excellent Jack; I just got back from an early run-about with my 1st Lamb, love the pattern! :)👍👍
Many thanks JJ :) Wonderful my friend, wishing you many years of Lambsfootery :) :thumpsup:
Received my first Lamb in Rosewood late yesterday and threw it immediately in my pocket this morning; added the distant cousin when I returned. :)
Stellar Sheffield pairing JJ :cool: :) :thumbsup:
Pretty pair!! They don't sell Lambsfoots (that doesn't sound right)...Lambsfeet? Lambsfooties? Lambsfoot Knives... in the US, do they?

@Rubythroat
Thank you kindly!!!
I have yet to find a seller of the Lambsfoot pattern in the US ( Jack Black Jack Black would know the plural, if there is one :)). Waynorth was the only US made SFO that I know of and it was gone faster than GEC could make them. It's definitely my "new favorite" pattern! :)
Try saying 'Lambsfoot knives' ;) I sure hope GEC will make Charlie another Lambsfoot run at some point :cool: :) :thumbsup:

Deluxe choices, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

...

Thanks for your encouragement, Jack. :)
That explains why I had such a sense of deja vu when you first posted that Böker, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Here's a photo of my "ungelded" version:

Possibly the prettiest knife I own, at least to me, and a strong contender for my "wedding knife" when I get married next month.

Great-looking knife :cool: Mine is special because it was a gift from my pal btb01 btb01 - and we're not even married! :D Good luck with the nuptials :) :thumbsup:
Going with my Usual Lamb and a Roy Rogers Trick Knife for Thrifty Thursday

Happy Canada Day fellers, and to all my Canadian friends :) Hope everyone is doing OK :thumbvsup:
Today I'm toting these two medium stockman knives , a thrifty HSB from the 50s and a GEC that's a bit fancier. :)
Two more gorgeous knives JJ :cool: Is it really only Thursday ;) :D :thumbsup:

The Bull Buster worked hard today, And has a brand new patina coming on. It does say Farm&Field.
Sorry, patina afficionados, I do not know if it was these garlic scapes, arugula, asian mustard greens, or kale that did it.
I cut the arugula and mustard greens off right at the ground, since they were bolting and past their prime. added compost, and planted other stuff.
I flip beds a lot. I don’t waste bed space or time on produce that’s past it’s prime. I can get a lot of successive plantings in before winter. Last year, I put in spinach in late Sept, and we had fresh spinach past Thanksgiving. I’ll be making my fifth planting of beans tomirrow, and the sixth in late July. That extends the fresh eating season.
Have a great evening!

This knife has Been there / Done that. I believe I have seen more TL-29s with initials than any other pattern.
Heritage whittler today.

Nice to see you’re bonding with the dark brewed, Harry. And I love the old watering can!

Looks like berries in our oatmeal tomorrow.
