Blade Forums Traditional Forums 2008 Northwoods Cutlery Medium Stockman with burnt Stag Scales.

I love this knife so much and it feels so good in my hand that when it's in my pocket I'm constantly rubbin' it, ( which accordin' to my daughter, "looks kinda creepy.":))

Good to see the Forum knife. But no patina?? Must be all that rubbing....

I'll post another pic, that one was from when I first got it, it's been hard to keep it from stainin' I've kept it away from organic/food stuff.

It has the slightest patina darkenin' just a little, this one does get EDC'd 75% of the time, I'm really lookin' forward to the 2009 Barlow.

I only went out of the house once for a little bit. And I only took one knife with me. No room in my fanny pack for more since my 38 was in there.:D

Hi, first post overhere on the traditional forum.

Fontenille Pataud at the moment is the best in genuine laguiole's imo..

I've been eyeballing this one as the normal layol's are 11/12 cm closed this one looks like a perfect pocket match.

Could you post your thoughts on this one about fit finish and feel in hand?
Some more pictures would be appreciated too.

I really like the natural rams horn scale on this one!

Maarten,
Fit and finish for this knife are superb. I couldn't ask for anything better. NO gripes. I am one to ussally fondle new knives for awhile and look for any slight inconsistencies. NONE with the knife I have.

Opening is pretty easy, doesn't fall open, it just kind of glides when I'm opening it. Closing is the same, nice and easy with a nice snap once the blade shuts on the blade stop.

The knife feels really good in the hand. It feels lighter than the peanut I've used on occasion. I have larger hands, (XXL gloves) and when I'm holding it, the bottom curve rests nicely on my pinky. Fits in my pocket well to. It came with a slip pouch to put it in when in the pocket. What the heck, have never had one of these for my pocket knives so I thought I' try it.

I don't have any thing bad to say about it. I am looking forward to buying a 12 cm sometime that doesn't lock just to have a different feel and one with traditional horn handles.

Sorry about no pics. I don't take good pics but here's a website where you could zoom in to see different angles. I'm in no way endorsing the site, just using it for their pics http://www.fontenille-pataud.com/laguiole-xs-9-cm-hand-made-knife-walnut_P857xuk.htmlhttp://www.fontenille-pataud.com/laguiole-xs-9-cm-hand-made-knife-walnut_P857xuk.html

Hope this helps. Have a good day.

Got a 12cm one . Superb but to big for pocket carry.

Will get either the rams horn or buffallo one . Lot of caracter on boths..

For all the others if you want a french slipjoint this is top notch !

Lot of money 130 euro's a pop.

One maker from bottom to finish like a custom :)

. . . . I'm really lookin' forward to the 2009 Barlow.

+ 1 on that here as well! She is really going to be the best thus far with regard to the simple pleasure of hard use and all around aesthetics with this forum knife if I don't miss my guess. I cannot wait to put the slipy to use. :)

This can't really compare to most I have seen here, but I really dig the tortoise shell celluloid knives and barlows are also a favorite, so....

Got my Case Chestnut CV Large Trapper in my pocket today. I've been carrying my Chestnut CV Trapperlock a lot lately, and just thought I would go for the "real thing" today!
