What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Usual Marbles EO, along a Leatherman tagging along I picked up from Home Depot yesterday.

After being away from home for almost a month I returned to three new pieces. First and foremost was the lovely little #25 from pertinux's very generous giveaway. Next is a knobbly gem from the Exchange, good old Henckels stag. Finally, an old Mora.

#61 Congress today...

Another knife that classes up de joint, fast! Beautiful lines.

Wow-- there's a picture worth a thousand words. Very interesting to see. Thanks!

I like the way you've aligned the lower blade; my first glance through, I thought that was a #66 Jack.

I just really like both of those pictures, and of course the knives.

Sturzi, does the typewriter still work? Talk about instant nostalgia (save for the funny text in the label, heh).

It was so thoughtful of Tony to send you four of the same knife, so you could see all those different angles at the same time.

Today, I have this with me:

Beautiful! I have longed for one of those chests for some time...

This one is relatively inexpensive, at least compared to Real® ones, and almost more style than substance-- the wood may as well be foam board in some places, and the poorly chosen and mis-set hinges pulled the top of the back apart pronto.

However, couple days of "crafts" later, including [rank-if-enthusiastic-amateur] glue work, new hinges, etc.[/rank-if-enthusiastic-amateur], and we're good to go. The space it provides is perfect for storing knives, boxes, sharpening supplies, etc.; the knives from the Tray o' Happiness all fit in one of the bottom drawers.

If I use it gently, this piece will serve me well, for as long as I need it to. It does give me a hankerin' for one of the old hardwood renditions, however!

Mechanically yes, but the ribbon is completely dried out. And I guess some of the Swiss names do sound funny, even to us :D

And that's a nice chest, I could use something among those lines as well. My current drawer is slowly reaching full capacity, I had to start storing the knives on their spines to safe space :) (Next whittlin' project? :p)

It's an older rendition Jack. I've noticed some differences in EKA's models over the years. Anyway, the Peanut is a given too. I wanna see what all the fuss is about.

:D Great little knife, I'll be sure to bring it!
