  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Had to go with the Texas Jack for Friday. Vacation starts at 5, and really looking forward to it. Not much planned - sticking close to home again. Hiking, beach, maybe the odd day trip.
...
Enjoy your vacation, Mike!

Four today. Probably because I have four pockets:cool:

That little Case stockman/cattleknife at the bottom is a real jewel!!

...
Great Stockmn, GT... my favorite model. 🤠

Love that canoe and all its blade choices. 🤠
...
Thanks for the affirmation, John. :)
The chestnut bone stockman is certainly not my favorite because of excessive blade rub (and square bolsters), but I sure do like the covers.

A couple of knives for Fancy Friday.
Fancy for sure!

Going to pocket the ALOX Cadet I bought yesterday, nice and flat in the pocket. OH

Congrats on the new Cadet, Bruce!

Thanks Gary, love those little classics, I’ve seen that mini trapper as well…although I don’t hit many greens from the fairway so it might not get used much. 😊

Boy! share a mishap with you guys and you never live it down! 😂😂😂👍
Good point about the golf tool, Todd. ;)
I'm sure most of us have had knife/water mishaps; we're not "rubbing it in", we're savoring our shared experiences! 🤓

Distinguished dark duo!

Classic on a classic.
Good to see you on The Porch, Vince!
Sometimes you feel like a 'Nut ...

We've had a week of fine weather here in Yorkshire, and I'm off out for a hike tomorrow. Just made a sandwich and packed my bag, and now I'm going to relax with a beer or two ;) Wishing everyone a great weekend :) I'm going Double Stag again tomorrow, and throwing in my Bradford Guardian 3 :)

Your stag duo is definitely a notable pair, Jack; hope you had happy hiking!

Super cool 4 bladed canoe, Gary; love that shield! 😎
Thanks, JJ.

Today's traditional tote for me.....

Magnificent handle mod on your Opinel!!

I threw the Case Trapper in my pocket this afternoon.
It's been calling to me more and more... I couldn't resist... it was futile.
😁😁

I was out bush hogging all day today. It’s really hot and really humid here, so this was in my pocket.

Phenomenal pruner!

I carried a SAK again today at the Deschutes River.

I've enjoyed your posts sharing some of your family's adventures and some of your SAKs from your road trip!

Today I carry a Portuguese knife of Anselmo-Sendim in Ebony.

Schradurday.

Edit: this is one of my more minimalist Swiss Army Knives. It’s a lot easier to find information about Victorinox than Wenger, but I finally found it’s name ~ The Lumberjack. Without the corkscrew, and with no toothpick and tweezers, it was called the Basic 66 / with handle tools, The Classic66.
This one does have a corkscrew (aka knot untier), so I guess it’s a Lumberjack.
The equivalent Vic was also named Lumberjack until they dropped it in 2000. They brought it back in ‘15 as The Walker.

Brought to you by Jeff’s mostly useless trove of knife trivia®️
Splendid pair of knives!
And I enjoyed your informative trivia, since I've had my eye on a Vic Walker for quite a while.

Heading to Fayetteville shortly, going to attend a gunshow and then later on, the surprise 80th birthday celebration of a good friend. Case 5318 in stag is the order of the day. OH

Stunning stag stockman, Bruce!

Thanks, Todd. :)
My wife bought me a new Mac, and I'm a PC guy, so it's taking some getting used to.

Sounds like a fun time, good for them for doing that.
We are finally having my son's graduation party today, I'll be grilling a lot of tri-tip today.
Congrats on the new computer, and I hope the Mac learning curve isn't too steep, John! I'm just the opposite; I've used a Mac since 1984 (and Apple IIe and Radio Shacks before that), and I struggle when I'm assigned classrooms in which the desktop computer is a PC.

Breakfast workout for my Hartshead Barlow.

Barlow hits the bullseye with that bagel, Bill!

This is the view from our motel room.
It could literally be anywhere in Nevada, it all looks the same.

Still with the Cadet... it helped open my hotel coffee packages.

At least there are some hills in the distance. My brother-in-law has a big farm in Northern Ohio, and it's so flat that if his dog ran away you could watch probably him running for three days.:)

Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley unusual pocketknife Gary, love to see more of it. Is that a Browning BUCKMARK peering above the blade well? OH

It's a 1970's vintage Browning and good eyes sir, here's a shot with the blades open, very nice smallish folder

I made that slip sheath, first time using some red tiger thread, adds some nice contrast I thought

What a neat take on a smaller Stockman. Always been a Browning firearms fan of the shotguns (and their other hunting products). I remember Browning knives from back then (even owned a Lockback similar to a Case Sharktooth once) but have never seen the one you own. The red thread looks great against the black leather. Thanks for the picture. OH
