Today I've been turkey-calling the wife from two rooms away. We'll be fiiiiine.

I used to keep a call in my desk at work (teacher) and pull it out now and again when the kids were distracted and scratch it a bit in my lap where they couldn’t see and they would look around and I stop and would say “did u hear that?”

We went to the "Fort" in North Platte, which is basically just a tourist shop.
But they had a minature of Bill's Wild West show, all whittled by hand by one guy... pretty amazing!

The little Cadet earned its keep opening boxes and assembling furniture.

Good, good. The training goes on. The next milestone is when she asks to use your knife. 40 years in, and we seem to be stuck at this stage of the training. The next step would be getting her to carry her own, but that’s a tough one. I guess she knows I’m close by

Thanks John, I’m really enjoying the Cadet even more than I thought I would. They didn’t have very many fish to choose from so this piranha will do just fine!
