What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Something about a Texas Jack! The blade shape had me wondering at first but the color just grabbed me. After handling this baby for a few days, I just love it.

That´s a wonderful old Case knife Gevonovich! Congratz on that outstanding beauty. That´s a well used beauty.

Thanks so much, Andi!! It was a mess when I got it and needed some serious work. But as I was cleaning it and handling it, it just won my heart. Turned out to be a looker and somebody loved this thing. Your right, it is really pocket worn.

I agree Gev---she's a beauty!!! Hard to judge the scale of the knife through your photo (which are always great) but is it a large #6292 or medium #6232 Jack?

Great knife---one of my all time favorites (either size).

Paul

Thanks Paul!! You made me aware of the red beauties so I noticed it right off and had to try it. Thank you for that.

Its the #6232 Jack. 3 and 11/16" and just right...lol

Thanks scruffuk! I like this one every bit as well as my 53 three blade and I have yet to use the nail pull on the Wharncliffe; pinch opens just fine for me and from either side!

Well, I made good on my statement, so in the not too distant future I'll be getting to grips with one myself.

I really need to curtail my knife lust for a good few months!! :/

Indeed, that's a knife with some history. Great find.

Nice pics showing that color Paul! Seems its a hard one to capture on camera, looks real nice:thumbup:

Beautiful 66 Paul. It was pictures like this, and Andi's, that created my interest in this knife. Love that green bone! One of these days I will find one.

I never liked green knives till I saw that 66...beauty of a knife... Love the jigging.... And it seems to be just the right size too...if I weren't saving up for a Ben Hogan...

My #66 today in "River Green Valley Bone" it's a great little work horse:thumbup:

If I hadn't have seen Peter Parker's #53 last night I was going to order one of these this morning (actually the 661210). It's a great looking knife and seems to be serving you well too with the way that patina is coming along.

Thanks for those snaps.
