What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Feel like a body flu came on last night. I went to bed at 7:00, and slept 14 hours. Not planning on anything more than cleaning out the washing machine drain line (happens about once a year.~ water on the floor in the laundry room is my sign), and maybe move the sprinkler around to different parts of the garden. We’re still having a draught. So I swapped the pruner for my lil jack.View attachment 1625799
Can you tell I like green onions?
View attachment 1625800I will commence those exhausting endeavors after a little more coffee and strenuous contemplative things.

Have a great start to your week.
Good that your taking it easy, hope you feel better soon. 😊👍

A splendid pearl of a day to be retired and enjoying the beauty of leisure

Electrician and Cadet for Metal Monday. Not as redundant as it might seem - large spear, medium spear, sheepsfoot, screwdriver/bottle opener, phillips/can opener, awl, and file. The only duplication is the screwdriver/bottle opener. It seemed as if I was always needing a phillips when I was carrying the Electrician. The Cadet adds that and more.

Practical pair. I recently bought my first Alox, which also has no phillips. But it does have a pruner blade which makes it handy outside. And I always have a Leatherman...
Hope you're feeling better soon Jeff
Thanks, Jack! Amazing what good 14 hrs of sleep can do.
I think you are!
I suggest two on each side so you can walk a straight line.
Good that your taking it easy, hope you feel better soon. 😊👍
I think I am already. Thank you!
Great beads, great slips and great knives!! Love it.

Carrying a few goodies today myself. :)

We love fixed blades.
And pretty little Toothpicks.

S'far as I am aware, i ain't gonna be going hunting again today ... (been years, if not decades since I was last able to go) so I may as well leave off a hunting knife.

With the excepton of the Case Sod Buster Jr, I decided (after a couple hours a choosin'/procrastination)to go with lined bolsters for Monday.
"Heavy Duty" knives are a Rough Rider "Outdoorsman" series Smooth Tobacco Bone RR887 large Sunfish.
I figure if it can carve/whittle out seasoned oak for a lock plate and not need shapened after, or develope floppy blades, it must be a "heavy duty" knife?
Second "Heavy Duty" knife is my Case 2137 SS Sod Buster Jr. ... even tho it lacks lined bolsters ... or bolsters, come to that ...
I don't recall ever hearing anyone refer to a Sod Buster as a "light" or "medum" duty knife.

"Light" to "heavy medium" duty tasks will be accomplshed with a Rough Rider RR 1418 "Stoneworx" stockman.
I'm not sure if it is a "medum" or "large" Stoneworx stockman. It is 4 inches closed, but there is a 4 3/8 inch closed Stoneworx stockman, as well. Unfortunitally, my bigger one is inna packing box in Maine at this time, else I'd put it in my pocket.
And, a Rough Rider RR533 Scout/Camp knife. (only Scout/Camp knife I have with lined bolsters.)
