I look forward to seeing your new Fight'n Rooster, Greg.Thank you kindly, Gary. The fight'n roosters are quality knives IMO. I have another of this brand coming my way in the mail, due to arrive soon.
Thanks again, Gary.I enjoyed your story of working as a youth, brings back memories of my youth bending nails each summer and sore fingers from hammer blows.

I'm going to try and carry the #71 a lot more, I think it's a great knife and I have to get used to the blade shape.

Glad Eleanor is fired up about school, Barrett!
...
She’s been very excited about kindergarten, and seems to love it so far. She had just started part-time pre-school (a couple days a week) in Jan. or Feb. of 2020, and she only got to go for a month or so before Covid. (She did start back at it earlier this summer, which hopefully had helped ease the transition to kindergarten.)
Yesterday I swapped out the Nifebrite #71 for this one in OD Green Linen Micarta, which is still in my pocket today.

Nice work on the blade mod, Bruce!Thank you gents. Yes, I cut the blade yesterday with a Dremel tool and shaped the curve with hand files. I also cut a nail nick in the pile side of the blade. I am pleased with my Sheepfoot blade shape but only tolerant of my nail nick. The nail nick proved to be the hardest part to figure out with limited tools (dremel and files). I did blue it with gun blue this morning (the interior of the nick) so it looks better. I think I can work the shape a bit more to get it even on both sides. I’ll take a photo and post it here later. My first significant blade mod - thanks for the support. OH

So that blade shape is uncommon in the UK as well as the US. I suspected that, but appreciate your confirmation, Jack!Thank you very much my friendBefore, I was gifted my Aitor Castor Pequena, I had never used a knife with that leaf-shaped blade. It looked very odd to me, but as you know, it punches above its weight. I dare say the blade has a Spanish name, but if I ever knew it, I'm afraid it's long forgotten!

Maybe I'll have to look into the bead market; I have a package coming in tomorrow, but there's not much connection between knives and the new jock I await with great anticipation!
