What Type Knife/Tool Would You Like To See Released From BK&T?

I was wanting a BK&T dagger, but the Ek 44 sort of scratched that itch.
I would love to have something like this modded BK7. I'm pretty sure I got this image from BF, but I cannot tell you who's knife it is. Perhaps they will chime in and take their well deserved credit. I would leave the pommel normal BK, but I really like the blade. It reminds me a lot of a Randall Model 1 with 7" blade. Not sure what I would do with such a knife, but if they made it, I would buy it.

I know Ethan is not a fan of finger choils, but the one on the knife in my post above (post #141) is much like the recessed ricasso one finds on a Randall Model 1. I think it gives the blade above a lot of character. To my eye, that is one elegant but serious looking blade.

If they would make it, I would definitely buy one, maybe two.
If they made the blade 8", I'd buy two for sure!

A kephart would be nice.

a 4 1/2 inch and 9 inch filleting knives in at least 440C.

Boker Magnum made a 14 inch long, 440a, 4 mm thick machete, with choil and real Becker handles. It cost £30 and was made in China. If a 9 could be lengthened and a choil added I would buy one.

Better sheaths on all existing models.

1095 Cro-Van Kitchen knives. Patterned after the Stainless ones made now.

I want to see Becker dive into the Tanto-style blade a bit more... Maybe a Tanto-style BK7?

I'd like to see a new 3" or 3.5" fixed blade from Becker. Maybe a mini Beckhart!
I totally agree with you. The shorter knives are often underestimated, but they really serve well in camping and are more (publicly) acceptable for EDC.

Easy to de-ramp and choil a regular 7. I did that to mine. What this one adds is a blasted finish and custom G10 scales. All doable with the current lineup, I encourage you to give it a go. I really like my 7 that's modded this way.

Also yes, a 3" blade on a 4" handle would be amazing. But the you'd have no incentive to by my knives that meet that spec. ;)

I would also like to see Ethan design some sort of unusual machete. Machete's are nice for me around the cabin.

This is what I would like to see also. The becker handle on a machete seems like a good thing for some all day chopping. Something like a golok would probably fit into the thicker stock trend that the current knives have.

The modified BK7 in question (post #141 of this thread) also has a longer clip and longer relief (proper term?) that thins the clip. Much of the "Randall-ness" comes from the lengthened clip as well as the choil.

What Becker needs to design is a short dagger for boot carry with a locking sheath. I know some people don't buy boot knives, but I would certainly snap up a Becker boot dagger without hesitation!

something like a saber 16 with just enough swedge to give it a better point and some 710 kydex?

That should do it, although I'm not sure that I'm familiar with the knife you reference (maybe I am and just can't think of it right now). When I said a locking sheath, I was actually thinking of the KABAR TDI Hinderer Hellfire. Would be nice in a Becker straight version with double edges! :D

the first production run of BK16's was done as a saber grind -- same as the BK17.
after that first batch, E made sure they switched over to the flat grind he had actually specified.

Ok, that makes sense! Yeah, that would definitely be cool!
