What was your first car?

I have owned 10 or so "cool old cars". First was a 1951 Chevy 2 door "DELUXE" and the last was a 1964 Impala 6 passenger wagon complete with luggage rack on the top.
I now drive a modded 1988 Ford Escort GT. K&N kit, strut braces, cooler stat, cleaned up intake, HD struts and Toyo tires. No fart can exhaust, bling bling lights or gauges that aren't hooked up to anything. 33mpg and man can this thing slide a turn! :D

My first car too! 400 c.i. V-8 producing about 350hp really moved that big behemoth! Could fit 8 people in relative comfort, and had a kickin-est stereo I could afford. Actually paid more for the stereo and speakers than I did for the car. I had it until my Sr. year of undergrad, my parents made me sell it for some piece o' crap Buick. Man, I miss that car! :(

Reminds me of my second car, a 1973 Oldmobile Toranado, if it got 8 miles to the gallon it got a lot, but with a $1400 stereo I didn't have to go far, just start it up once and a while to charge the battery after sittin' in the yard listen to tunes on the casset deck. :D

No pics, but the first car I owned was a 1975 Plymouth Valiant Custom. Rear-wheel drive, power steering, manual brakes, AM monotone radio, sideview mirror on driver's side only. Drove back and forth from graduate school in Dayton, Ohio, to my home outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the home of my then-girlfriend in Cincinnati. We've now been married more than 13 years. Time flies when you've found The One.

My first car and the one I still drive, seeing as I've only had my license for a year and a half or so... 1991 Toyota 4Runner... I've taken her through a lot and she just keeps goin' strong.

Nice looking Runner!

Check out yotatech.com if you haven't already.

A 1949 Mercury flat head V8 with overdrive. It was Oyster White. "Slyvester Stallone" had one in the movie:"Cobra".
When I saw the 49 Merc. in the movie, I wish I had mine back.

1972 Plymouth Duster.

Bought when I was 15 and didn't have a lisense. Parents were MAD  when they came home and saw it sitting there. They got madder when they found out how I got it home. I drove it and I hadn't even had Drivers Ed yet.

A 1968 Opel Kadet Rallye. My 2nd car was a little better as it was a 1970 Chevelle Super Sport w/cowl induction and a 396 (actually402) engine!

My first car was a 1963 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spyder Veloce. I loved that car even though it was always in the shop. I never had enough money to fix it properly. To this day I still get nostalgic when I see one on the road. Wish I'd never sold it.

My first ride was a 1970 merc cougar no mufflers just headers and cherry
bombs 302 auto shift kit man i loved that car! Sanded it down and painted
the color of flat black. That car served me well I gurantee. :D

1972 Chevelle Malibu, 305 8-cylinder, blacktop over canary yellow. It was a hand-me-down from Mom. The first ticket I got with it was for pealing-out while directly in front of a police car, and I eventually seized-up the engine during an attempt to catch a Corvette on a back-country road. It was sold out from under me when I went back for my senior year of high school.

Probably for the best, though I miss it.

My first car was a 1972 Datsun 510 that I bought used in 1973. Turned it in after college in 1978 for a new 510 that I owned for two years. In 1980 I got a company car and have never had to buy myself another since
