The green micarta 92 was my first GEC as well. Didn't take long for me to realize that it wasn't for me, especially when I got my hands on a 93 soon after. The 93 has come to be my favorite pattern with the recent 74 mustang a close second.

Dang. I bet you wish you had that back. My beer scout looks a bit rough because I had to adjust to having carbon blades. Still love it though and enjoy the earned look it hasMaroon linen beer scout, long since sold because it was the first carbon blade I ever owned and the patina put me off at first. But I’ve learned a lot since then and don’t even carry modern knives much at all anymore.
That’s an awesome first. Took me years to get a TCKicked it all off a few years ago with this Tom's Choice Barlow. And though GEC is generally great, nothing else has been quite as good in fit, finish, action.

They have a new stainless coming out soon in case you weren’t aware. I only have one, a 15 navy knifeI only have two GECs and both are in stainless. My first is a 25 e-z open with a sheep foot blade in curly zebra wood and my second is a Tuna Valley cattle knife in Brazilian cherry. When they abandoned stainless, I moved on.
It’s weird I’m not turned on by a 92, but I really like the 29. Same frame, just different blade configuration. The green micarta 92 was my first GEC as well. Didn't take long for me to realize that it wasn't for me, especially when I got my hands on a 93 soon after. The 93 has come to be my favorite pattern with the recent 74 mustang a close second.

I’m ok about it. I had a goldenrod jigged bone later that I also sold because I just didn’t enjoy the EO notch. The one I bought early on and wish I would have kept was my #35 Churchill.Dang. I bet you wish you had that back. My beer scout looks a bit rough because I had to adjust to having carbon blades. Still love it though and enjoy the earned look it has
Yeah it was too good of an opportunity to pass up, but I do still want an OD green 71 so I'm aiming to get one of the new ones.71 for a 78 is quite impressive. Are you going to try for a new 71 soon to replace it?
