What was your first Kershaw knife?

Planing is important!

Keys? Check! Cash? Check! Wallet? Check! Kershaw? Check! Dogs accounted for? Check! Always works for me...but I have left home without Sandy before......very embarrassing to have to turn around and go back...but I usually remember before I get more than a mile or so away...

Some kind of lock back from the early '90s. Black, rubberized handles with silver accents.

My younger brother gave me a Vapor II a little more than ten years ago. That's right, I said my LITTLE brother!! I mean, how embarrassing that I had to get turned on to Kershaw by my punk kid bro!! I should have known first, right??;)

Blackout? Silver Spur? Can't remember the name of it backlock? I do remember my first Blur, same with my 1580ST in S60V. I still have them both. Joe

The Lahar is my first and only Kershaw knife. But I'm halfway there saving for a ZT200, If I can't resist the temptation though I might spend what I have on a Cyclone I saw...

Mine was the Blur as well, the partially serrated tanto one. I love that knife! My EDC is also the second Kershaw I got, which is an aluminum handled Offset

Man, it's a good thing i found this forum though, I would've thought myself crazy for going crazy over Ken Onion Kershaw knives if I hadn't known others also were crazy about them.

My first was a Random Task 1500. Purchased in early part of 2000. Razor sharp, superb fit & finish, and the Speed-Safe had an exciting kick !

It hasn't failed me yet ! :D

hmm....lemme see, first kershaw(s) were a pe chive and a CE blackout. neither are with me anymore. but ive been expanding my selection every since :)

My 1st was a grey Scallion in 2000 or 2001. 2nd was a Whirlwind and 3rd was a Chive. I get lost from there but I think the Leek came next. Or was it the Storm or Boa.

My first ever Kershaw (and my first ever pocket knife) was a Rainbow Leek that I bought off of Ebay in early 2004. I have it to thank for kicking off my favorite hobby ever.

DWO circa 1986. I got it in 1991, and returned it to the original gift giver (my Dad still has it).

He gave it to me because he had trouble sharpening it, and I was a sharpening fool as a kid. Once it was sharp, he didnt mind taking it back to bad...

Over 10 years later I got into knives again, and got a Scallion from Wally World in 440A. Then a Blur. I got tired of 440A because I found higher grade steels...then Kershaw upgraded all of their steels and I've been in love ever since.

Ken has made the most ergonomic and easy to use designs I have ever encountered. Nothing crazy about that.

I owe the man a night at the bar. Maybe on my next Hawaii trip I will see if I can make good on that offer.

My 1st was a Nakamura that I got through a trade here on BFC and have since gotten a Groove and Lahar and will be ordering a RAM soon!

a red smoked-handled Leek. Got it last week! Hahaha. Saw some pictures and reviews and decided it would be my small EDC knife. It opens mail, whittles, and cuts whatever I need quite well. And the AO is neat!
