What was your first Spyderco?

Resisted for a long time but bought a Manix 2 XL. Now I have a bunch and waiting for more.

My first was a black PM2, while I really liked this knife it's scarcity caused the value to rise to the point where I was afraid of using it and dinging it up, so I sold it.

Original PE Endura FRN molded clip. I still have it too! It was not alone for too long as a catcherman joined it after about 2 months.

It was maybe 5 years ago, when I opened the box of brand new endura 4 wave and I still remember how happy I was :)
I dont have it any more, but I have others from spyderco and hope will buy many more.

The Purple Ladybug. Then the Tenacious, then the Military and waved endura. Then the PM2, then the......It just keeps going.

Why the original CO1 Worker of course. Still in original box and as new and fresh as baby's breath.:)

So jealous, wish I had the money to buy 2 back then, I'll hafta console myself with the knowledge that at least I have one and have 1 and it's one of the first.

Wish I had the Worker Evolution set.

Here's mine. Not so fresh. Picked it up at the San Diego County Fair back when. The Spyderco crew were selling Sharpmakers every year and were a favorite stop at the fair.

Here's an old price list.

To put things in perspective, this was the Jan 1982 Byte magazine cover story.

Endura 4 FFG, green handle.

I used to have a severe dislike for spyderco's because of the spyderhole and shape of the knife (compared to what I was used to).

Then, I handled one. I saw the light. It was then... that I became a man.

Now I have a Resilience, Manix 2, Manix 2XL. Southard, Centofante, Superleaf, and plan to acquire many more.

My first Spyderco was the Navaja, still got it, one of my favorites. Hooked me on Spyderco.

My badly-abused Tenacious is my first, and currently only, Spyderco. It sees a lot of use though, I love it to bits.

I got a spydercard about 15 years ago as my first spyderco and it has been in my wallet ever since.

The Native 5 was a revelation. It showed me how precisely made a mid-price, made-in-America factory knife can be.
It begs the question, if Spyderco is willing and able to make an affordable knife this good, why can't everybody?

My first was a Para 1 with the old style jimping and philips screws, and that was after weeks of reading forums and researching, I loved that knife, a few months ago it became my Grandfathers first Spyderco as well, the other two were bought about a month after the Para 1

A black, satin-blade PM2. Now I have 5 PM2s, several Tenacious, Persistence and Ambitious, Manix 2 sprint, UKPK and a ZDP Stretch
