What was your first Spyderco?

Which did you get first and why?

Mine was a Delica 3 just a few years ago. It was kind of an impulse buy. I just wanted a nice knife to replace my grandpas buck knife I had carried for a couple years. Now I have about 50 of Spydies and couldnt be happier with them :D
 
I was looking for a keychain knife... Bought a orange ladybug. Sharpest knife I ever owned(at that point)


Then I got a tenacious.

Then I got a caly3 SE


From then on... Its been all spydercos(35+) now.
 
My first Spyderco was Sharpmaker.
Couple month later I bought Native. Couple more month after that bought Kopa Cocobolo and she got me hooked on Spydies.
 
Caly 3... Just last May. As of today... I've got 12 Spydercos. 7 more on the way (some of those are pre-orders).
 
Tenacious. I had heard great reviews of it and it had many of the features I looked for in knives at the time (FFG, leaf shaped blade, liner lock, not too expensive).
 
D'Allara. I loved the blade shape and handle texture. Wish they were still around. :(
 
First one was a FRN Native, after that a Caly3..since then, I must have 40 or so. :D
 
First Spyderco I bought was a Delica 4 I got from Gander Mountain a little over three years ago. It doesn't get a lot of pocket time these days, but if I'm doing some home improvements or any big projects, it's the knife I use the most.
 
Delica3 partially serrated, purchased around 1999. It was probably the only Spyderco the store had that I could afford. I paid $45 for it and carried it daily for 6 years. I accidentally ran over it with the mower and it came out in about 5 pieces. I replaced it with a BM griptillian which I carried for about 1 year but never did warm up to.
Eventually I traded the Griptillian to another bladeforums member for a used Delica3 (partially serrated also). Even though I prefer the Militiary and Sage, I doubt I'll ever part with the replacement Delica3.
 
My first was an AUS-8 Delica PE with the wide molded clip back in the mid 90's. I still have it, along with well over a hundred other Spydies.
 
I think mine was also a Tenacious. Great knife. Since then I've had others, waiting on a special Manix, but that Tenacious is still carried.
 
I think my first Delica was a Delica 2. Then I bought a stainless fully serrated left handed Police which I still have and then a ladybug which I gave away even before I gave away the Delica. So only one spydie at this time.
 
Mine was the C05 Standard, bought in the mid 1980s. Still have it after all these years.
