Hey All -

I'm not a Beckerhead nor, tragically, as yet own a Becker (budgetary challenged). However, what i *do have* is a question for y'all.

What was your 1st Becker?
When did you succomb to the beckoning of the Kool-Aid?
Why (it's obvious of course, but it's good to write these things out)?

BK11 & BK2.

This month.

I realized this past deer season while camping that my knives were quite inadequate.

My first was a BK14. I was looking for a smaller fixed blade for EDC.
My second was BK2.
Those are my only 2.

Bk11. Awhile back.

If you check out the short clip point contest you will are my long story of how I got here

Hang out and stay awhile

BK2. Googled survival knives, and it was one that kept coming up. So, I researched it, and the rest, they say, is history...

BK2 about a year or so ago. I was looking for a knife in that size range and decided I wanted one that was a jack of all trades kind of knife. I have not been disappointed. Now I just need to decide between the 5, 9, or 15 for the next addition. Decisions decisions.

The BK7 and a BK2 followed shortly after.

Once you feel one in your hand, you'll see the quality of these knives that will have you wanting more, and at a great price to boot.

Beckers are some of my most prised knives I own.

Camillus era BK 7, bought it roughly 10 or 11 years ago, still my favorite Becker out of all of them !!

Machax, back around '03. I had the money and it was being sold. I may not have them all, but I've used a lot of them and I recommend any of them for your first.

BK2 & BK9 bought as a package about a month ago.

I'd been reading around these forums about how tough the 2 is and had figured I would try one out at some point. Then a guy on the Australian blade forum site put a full suite of Beckers up for sale (2/3/5/7/9) at good prices with azwelke kydex sheaths. I grabbed the 2 and 9 and if I had been more financial would love to have taken the 7 as well. Have since added two BK-11s to the collection.

My first was the BK2 over a year ago. Like some others have noted--I was searching for a good solid camp knife, and the BK2 kept coming up.

I drank the kool aid the moment I took it out of the box and held it. I have since ordered the BK11, and BK10.

Why? Hmmm...Well, it just felt right.
