What watch do you wear?

Marathonman - I agree with the Ironman (its what I do), but you're paying too much at $40. Check Target and Walmart.

Would recommend a citizen ecodrive model. I think someone else has already mentioned them. THey have some inexpensive models (<$100) and are fantastic analog watches which never need batteries...hows that for an everyday watch + survival timepiece

I wear a wenger titanium. Love the thing. I wear it everywhere. It never really leaves my wrist unless I am using my second watch: Polar F11. Its a heart rate monitor that i use for my bike rides and runs.

I think have had the wenger for 5+ years and it still works like a champ. I think it costs maybe 200 online but i got it as a gift so im not sure on an exact price. It is pretty simple but it keeps good time. Best of all its tough. Im at class atm so i cant post a picture. Ill post up a pic of my watches tonight:)

Casio Gshock: solar atomic part titanium bracelet. Great watch, bad bracelet. The pins are wearing out and can't buy them separately, bracelet is only $50 less than I spent on the watch.

Oh well

Casio G-Shock Riseman.

Its awesome to have an accurate watch that sets itself everyday. Plus you get a barometer to see which way the weather is headed, and other stuff like an altimeter and thermometer. Its solar powered. And the chicks dig it.

I have other watches like a Seiko Black Monster, but that one is not nearly as accurate, and because its an auto it dies if I don't wear it for a couple of days.

How is the canvas band on the citizen eco drive? I was reading reviews about it and people were not happy with it.

Now I wanna get two watches. One for playing and one for looking good....

Im not sure about the canvas band...mine is leather and fits/feels great. But yea...for me personally I wear my ecodrive as a more formal watch...and a Timex Expedition for edc. (Small, light, simple and w/ indigo)

Which one do you have? The citizen eco drive that is <$100 has a canvas band. If I got one of those I would want it to be leather or ss.

i wear a stowa prodiver pretty much all the time really tough watch, but for the lower price range i would go citizen diver eco drive or a casio g shock.

Timex ironman. Ive worn one for the last 5 years and they have never let me down.
The only problem is that the band starts to crack after two years, but replacements are easy to find

i have a citizen ecodrive and its the canvas band. mil green id say. i posted a link for amazon on page 3. it is very comfortable, dries quickly. the underside of the band is a leather or something very smooth. i actually bought a different band (cus i wanted black) from http://www.countycomm.com/MilNATO8LARGE.jpg and i didnt like it and i put the original band back on. i like it so far and the best part never have to worry about batteries.

How do you see the citizen at night w/ out a flashlight?

Does it have some way where you can see it?

this is the company i use.

the altitech2 is my current watch
personally prefer the clip on styles. they can hang from a belt loop while in town,
anywhere theres a d or o ring on your gear when out in the wild
altimeter function is useful
you can get a compass too. tho id not recommend this style compass to save yourself.
maybe a tad outta yr price but well worth the $. i've used this brand for many yrs now. and have yet to have any problems. good luck

Love my Casio Pathfinder

Can't go wrong with a G-Shock either.

The lume will fade after a few hours and become harder to see on the analog watches such as Citizen. Timex and G-Shocks have EL backlights that turn on when you press the button. Jeff had mentioned the Marathon Navigator which is analog but the hands have tritium tubes on them. Will glow 24/7 without need any external light source.

There are lots of good watches out there, but a selling point for myself is if it has a compass feature. Very handy for directionally challenged individuals like myself
