What watch do you wear?

Just got this new dial installed on my Omega SMP. 2230.50 "Non AC" dial.

I'm not sure if I mentioned yet but I love that wave pattern!

Dug out the old Omega Ranchero, an uncommon watch. Caliber 267 from Omega's outstanding 30mm family of movements of the 1950s. CK 2990 case.

Stunning! I wish that look wasn't so popular right now. A vintage Omega for less than $1k is quickly becoming a myth.

Blackberry removal on the property means wearing my abused Core All-Black

How do you like that watch, Cypress? Is it a good watch?

I'm trying to get back into wearing watches.....if I get beyond Timex and Casio digitals, I'm clueless. Got a lot of data in this thread to research and digest!

It's definitely not a small watch. I've owned this one for almost 10 years, and have replaced the battery 4 times. The strap isn't what I would call "comfortable" out of the box, but a pan of boiling water to form the rubber takes care of that pretty quickly. The crystal scratches, but it's recessed into the case a bit. I'm not sure if they make a sapphire version, but if they did, go for that one. I'm also not a gigantic fan of the black face, so I run my Ambit 2 with the positive face (it can toggle between +/-, the Core can't).

Awaiting delivery on another Omega Seamaster Professional. Black ceramic bond model. Very excited to try out one of the co-axial movements. Will put up a pic of both Seamasters together when it's here.

Citizen 7 NH8250-53Y, Hirsch Duke strap

I posted this a year ago, but my photographic skills have improved. Iridescent brown dials are hard to photograph.

From the last generation of Citizen's cheap automatic watches. Rakuten dealers are still selling this for ¥6,000 ($50). Strangely enough, that's exactly what I paid a Chicago pawn shop!

If I could get that watch with a rotating bezel, I'd be all over it. I love automatics, I love Citizens, and I need the rotating bezel to help me time my lessons. Good price, too.

vmmvmmm, I like that iteration of the Aerospace.

Thanks! Me too, it's my favorite of all the styles including the current one. This is actually what I wear most every day. I used to be an auto snob, but I gained a real appreciation for super quartz movements on a plane flight a few years ago. Sat next to a scientist that was an expert in the field of quartz regulation technology and he spent two hours talking to me about the physics of the movements. It was fascinating, really. This is a great all around watch, and super easy to flip between time zones when traveling.

Seventy year old Omega delivered to the U.S. Army in 1945. Case reference 2179 with 30T2SC 16 jewel movement from Omega's excellent 30mm family of handwind movements.
