What watch do you wear?

Nice 6309!!! That is a great watch!! I have one that my dad got in the early 80s and it has not been serviced in over 20 years. It runs less than 10-15 seconds slow a day and is still get as many compliments as my more expensive watches. (I should get it relumed...it still glows better than most watches but I know it could be much better)

Thanks, I just got it and am not disappointed. Took it swimming at the pool already for my 11 month old daughter's swim lessons. The rubber Seiko strap was fine but I put it on an olive green zulu strap and it fits a tad better. I hope to pick up a SS bracelet for it in the future 'cause it really is a nice watch.

Hey Jack, this doesn't have tritium dials like the Luminox or Traser. I charged the lume with a flashlight before taking the pics. Seiko apparently makes some of the brightest lume in the industry. That was one of the main selling features of these watches for me. None of my other watches glow anywhere near as bright as these two Seikos, including my KHS H3 UZI Protector Tritium Watch (which is what I bought the two Maratac bands I reference in my previous post for).

Thanks for the info. I've spent most of my night reading about them, now to convince myself not to buy one immediately.

LOL, I hear you. I bought the black Baby Monster in January and even then it was a toss up between which of the two to get first. I held off almost 4 months before giving in and ordering the Black Monster.

To add fuel to the fire...I don't remember if I said this already here but the two cheapest places I found to get them at are Creation Watches and Island Watches. I got mine at Creation which has free 3 day Fed Ex from Singapore. Island Watches is in Long Island NY but I think they charge about $20 or so for shipping and it's longer than 3 day.

Took some more pics of my watches. I rotate through all but the black Fossil but it's been primarily the two Seikos since getting them.

NaturalMystic, please, stop posting those pictures. It's going to kill my bank account. Between the Black Monster and the couple of Orient watches I've discovered are probably going to bankrupt me. Here's my Luminox 3202. I've worn it pretty much daily for 8 years and beat it up pretty well. Aside from a new band and battery, it's run like a champ.

Sorry dude, didn't mean to put you in the dog house! I swear it wasn't my fault though; I got those two Seikos after hanging around this site as well as some of the watch forums!
Nice Luminox though, I've wanted to get one for a while. Maybe sometime down the road I will.

Been wearing a plain little Spitfire XVI

still like the big dive watch look, but there is something about the classic plain old watch look...

looking for a nice pilot's chronograph for the next one

It's a heavy burden to bear but I'll survive.:D Nice photos by the way. I've got a birthday coming up, so I figure this is all research. Yeah... that's it.

I really like the Luminox, fairly rugged in terms of build but it looks great with a suit. Again, nice photos and thanks for all the info.

Reactor all the way (mine is a Photon).
After spending about a week looking at different watches it seems that these are some of the only reliable watches made today. Go look at Amazon reviews and you see a lot of people complaining about companies (popular and somewhat respected) that do not warrant their dive watches for diving. Reactor pressure tests every watch, every time it is opened.
Other companies will not honour the warranty if your watch gets wet with the crown unscrewed. Reactor has three o-rings on the crown shaft to give it some water resistance even with the crown unscrewed.
Some companies don't warrant the band, Reactor uses solid threaded pins to attach the band to the watch. Sometimes I worry about it snagging and taking my hand off or dragging me into some nasty machine, but at least I know my watch band won't break.
Oh, and they use a ten year battery.

I got mine on clearance but after handling it would gladly pay the $300 asking price for another one.

I have a thing for Rolex. :) Here's a few of my current favorites:
