What watch do you wear?

I hate plastic buckles so I put it on Hadley-Roma's replacement strap. It is softer and more comfortable than Casio's strap, and it doesn't cost much more than a buckle. This is an old model Casio with conventional lugs that work with any strap, but the lug width is 19 mm. I would like a two-piece Kevlar or Cordura strap, but no one makes them in that width. Crown & Buckle has 19 mm NATOs and I may go with that.

I put an 18mm nylon NATO strap on my Casio AQ150W-1EV watch, which is a bit lighter (40g vs 60g) then your DW290-1V. It's a comfortable lightweight band, but didn't provide the structure I needed.

I did order a H&R MS848 black kevlar band along with a Timex T2E5619J for daily wear. I have had very mixed luck with all leather bands, so hopefully this will hold up better.

Newest image of watch porn... really gives you an idea of how big the Deepsea is!

Thanks! It's actually brand spanking new. It's based off of an old pilots watch design. This model has only been out for a couple of years.

Really? It definitely has a vintage look. Very nice. I haven't been haunting the forums much lately. I'm a recovering watchoholic.

Yep, have had it less than a week, brand new from watch buys, the only authorized Sinn dealer in the US. I can understand the watchoholic it's getting as bad as knives for me. Here is the description from Sinn's web page:

The 104 St Sa is a classic pilot's watch in the SINN tradition. The dial is clearly structured, with its three hands providing optimum readability of the time, date and day of the week down to the second. The pilot's bezel with minute ratcheting can be rotated on both sides and is securely attached to the case. It has a luminous triangle as key mark at the 12 o'clock position. The instrument watch has a polished stainless steel case and a crystal made of sapphire crystal which is also used for the transparent back. The transparent back allows the filigree work of the mechanical movement to be admired in all its intricacy. The 104 St Sa is low pressure resistant and can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar.

Cool. Yeah, watchbuys is the only game in town for Sinn. My buddy has the oil filled Sinn UX and had to send it to Germany to get the battery replaced. Expensive. Apparently watch buys doesn't have the equipment to refill the oil on that watch.

Back from the day when Abercrombie & Fitch Co. was a true outfitter. An ~50 year old Shipmate with an Adolph Schild movement in compressor case on a shark skin strap.

An old Abercrombie & Fitch Co advertisement. Sad to see what has been done to that name today.

Right now it's the Deep Blue Sea Ram 500 Auto. I go between the SS bracelet and the white silicone:

I picked up this Bombfrog T25 with the intention of it perhaps taking over from my GSAR... Well, everyone kicks a dog egg at least once in their life.

The watch is a good size and looks pretty good, the build and mechanism are where things get negative though. I could list the things I find to be a problem but really it is not a very expensive watch so I suppose I can live with them. I had seen reviews that put the T25 and GSAR on some what even ground, this is not the case and the more negaitve reviews are the ones to listen to. At about half the price that should be expected though, of course. :)

Here it is with the watches I usually wear.

One of the rarer watches I own. Omega Weems Mk VII/RAF 6B 159 this weekend. 2000 delivered to the UK Air Ministry. This one in May 1940. Wish it could talk and tell me its stories.

I've been wearing a Telux Trident since the mid 80's. I'm to lazy to get up and take a pic so here's one I found on the web.

Love that!

Mine today: I feel bad putting a $6 strap on such a nice watch but I think it looks good.
