What watch do you wear?

I can't wear wrist watches, they just stop after a day, even battery powered ones. Because of that I wear an 1865 J. Favre Jacot, Zenith hunter case, keywind/key set pocket watch. It keeps time extremely well and looks great.

Are you polarized or something? LOL. I am actually curious about your previous statement, is there an actual reason or just unlucky?

I currently am wearing my decade old timex ironman because my brand new less than two week old LUMINOX is tits up at their repair facility, still. Sigh.

I bought a Tag Heuer F1 at the Hickam AFB BX in the very early '90s for about $90. They were selling in Honolulu at the time for abour $325. It traveled the world with me for nearly ten years and made dives across the Pacific.

Both the bezel and crystal have since been replaced. This one goes to my twin brother's son.

Now that is cool.

It's amazing the quality of pocket watch one can buy for very little money. Obviously they don't have the following of wrist watches, but still....

Then after I picked up the Mako a certain retailer that I'm not sure if I'm supposed to list on here had a clearance sale on the Orient Chicane watch for $59. After discount code it brought the price down to $53 and I couldn't pass it up. Will be my office watch at work. Today is my first day wearing it and so far I'm really liking it.

The Stowa Prodiver has been on my wrist for years and looks to stay there, I've had a few different color dials but the limette is the one that stays.

An old Timex Expedition is my work watch. I have a nice Seiko that I wear on the weekends.

Rolex Black dial wind up made in l940, my favorite watch, one yer younger than I am. The band made New Mexico is very well done and probably made about in the same time frame or maybe up to 20 years later. You see clouds on top next to the watch, KoKoPele - a fertility god, phases of the moon and a seed being carried by the wind.

Turqpoise in the center depicts Mother.

The bottom third you see grass and a seed.

Keeping it simple with my Orient today:

I like it. I know Orients are made by Seiko, for those that own them, is the quality about the same ? It seems the ones I have seen are very reasonably priced, but then again I haven't looked at a lot of them.

Lately, it has been one of these two.

Very nice Ken. I see what you mean about Pimpin :D That's not a bad thing though

Indeed. It only gets worn on some special occasions. Heck! A lot of days I either wear no watch or a cheap Timex. I love a nice time piece, but I also respect them enough to not wear them in harsh environments (like on the drill rig).

I know a Rolex is tough, they have taken some pretty good hits as you can tell from the chipping on the dials, but...it's like batoning with a sebenza on your back porch (there is no point in pushing your luck needlessly;))

I just received an Invicta Grand Diver in blue a month ago. I never had a watch this large, my left shoulder hurts. Just kidding, it is pretty heavy though. Tough too, I batoned some wrist sized logs with it last weekend, barely scuffed it.
