Why would I even care?
And the reason behind the sarcasm obviously went right over your head. You cared enough to sarcastically reply to my post. Now go and take your jealousy somewhere else.
If all goes as I hope this week, my father will be bringing me his Seiko 6105-8000 diving watch that he bought in Japan on his way home from Viet Nam. I left home in 1991, but always remember that watch sitting in one of his drawers. He never wore it, nor did he smoke a pipe, but he had pipe tobacco in that same drawer. It smelled so good! I hope the watch has that same smell.
I wear an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Grande Complication valued at around $650,000.
today's watch - 1954 bulova 23j self-winder with sunburst dial.

First time I've every heard that the Seiko drivers can't take getting banged around. They may have drawbacks but they have a history of being extremely durable.I've been a Casio G-Shock collector for many years and have many new models. I used to be really into Seiko divers but they just can't take getting banged around. I'm a PADI certified scuba diver and my G's are pretty much bullet proof, lot's of great new models out that will give many years of service.
I always appreciate a fine watch but never seemed to like having one on my wrist.
Pocket watches now are another thing!![]()
