Next watch I get will be a Rolex GMT-II BLNR, or another Submariner.

Invicta 16330 divers watch, with a DeBeers padded strap and a deployant clasp, changed out the metal band.

For such an inexpensive watch, this thing impresses me more and more. Accuracy is -1/day if I'm wearing it, and dead-on if it's just sitting flat.

My thumb is covering the last 4 of my SSN.

Zeta, I love that Omega 2254. Here is mine:

Yes! This watch has a serious cult following. It has been a grail for me for many years. I had a ref. 14060 Rolex Sub very briefly, then saw the 2254 Seamaster pop up in desired condition and price so I got rid of the Sub for it, and had some cash left over. I figured, I'll have a ceramic Submariner one day, and I like the SMP way better so why not? No regrets, and thanks! Yours looks to be in great condition!

This may not be the kind of watch that most of you are interested in, but it is my latest watch purchase and I'm really liking the look of the mesh band when dressing up a bit.

Nonsense, I think that's a fine looking piece. I also like mesh bands. I wore a Movado for a while after highschool about 7-8 years ago. Salt water wrecked that watch, it was my fault. Congrats on the new watch.

Rolex Explorer II Polar gets most of my wrist time. Occasionally I wear either my Rolex GMT IIc or Omega Speedmaster Pro.

Anyone know why factory replacement braceletts for high end watches are so expensive? A replacement band for my Seamaster costs about 700 bucks while a similar after market bracelett goes for about 100 bucks. A couple of spare genuine links go for small fortune.

It's honestly quite ridiculous. There's no justification other than the fact that high end companies like Omega have the ability to extort the customers. What engineering, tight tolerances, or quality could go into 7-8 inches of leather or a steel bracelet to make it cost between $400-$700 is beyond me. I found the same thing when looking for an OEM Omega deployment clasp + OEM leather band for my Seamaster. With the bracelets, I can see a price tag of maybe 200 to 300 maximum, the leather ones costing as much as they do is just absurd. Many well made leather jackets cost less...Even their rubber straps are in the same price range. Rubber. 4 tires often cost less...

I got a factory bracelet (with all links) for a Rolex Deepsea. I wonder how much that would sell for?

Keep it. It'd go for a lot, but, you're going to get tired of your rubber strap eventually. Even if you don't, that's your one watch, keep it for variety so it feels new all the time.
