Citizen BM6401-58E

Australian-market "Promaster" version of BM6400. Used watch with bracelet was cheaper than the Citizen bracelet!

TAG F1

When I was a kid my uncle had 2000 series with a white dial and the colored logo. I swore that one day I would have one just like the big guy.

I'm heavily into motorsport so I was naturally drawn towards the Heuer brand. Plus I can't afford a Daytona.

I'm waiting for this Vostok motorsport watch.

They race tanks in Russia.

Trailer for Стритрейсеры фильм (Street Racers), bad reviews but stock tank racing is worth watching. That's T90 vs. T80?

It's the only watch I have, wish I could replace the rubber straps with leather ones.

My $90 TAG Heuer F1. On clearance sale at the Hickam AFB PX in 1991 or so. That was a very good deal even back then.

Google G-Shock Watch Adapter. If it fits your watch it won't allow you to use a leather strap but you can use a nylon one (Zulu, NATO, etc).

Just arrived - a 1950s Leonidas Chronograph. This was during the period where they were associated with Heuer.

Yup, Rolex won't sell replacements without taking the original back, therefore genuine bands are worth a small fortune.

I saw one like mine for sale on a Rolex forum for $1400 that wasn't seeing any action.

It's honestly quite ridiculous. There's no justification other than the fact that high end companies like Omega have the ability to extort the customers. What engineering, tight tolerances, or quality could go into 7-8 inches of leather or a steel bracelet to make it cost between $400-$700 is beyond me. I found the same thing when looking for an OEM Omega deployment clasp + OEM leather band for my Seamaster. With the bracelets, I can see a price tag of maybe 200 to 300 maximum, the leather ones costing as much as they do is just absurd. Many well made leather jackets cost less...Even their rubber straps are in the same price range. Rubber. 4 tires often cost less...

I agree. Breitling's leather straps are nice, but they're not $200 nice. I broke one after about a decade of extremely rough use. I'm going to replace it with something aftermarket.

Yup. A fool and his money are not only soon parted, they were lucky to ever meet in the first place. Regarding straps, keep two things in mind: very few watch companies make their own straps (even the ones who sell them for ridiculously high prices) and excellent straps can be had much less expensively from makers making nothing but straps.

I ended up selling my OEM bracelet... $1100.
