What watch do you wear?

Elgin Veritas from 1903, back in the day when the American watch industry was the world leader.

I had a Citizen Skyhawk A-T but finally went with a Breitling Chronospace. It seemed that every time I wanted to use the digital display one or both of the hands were covering it. The Breitling has a longer countdown timer as well.

I like it. It keeps fantastic time and is very comfortable. It is quite large, but fits well on my thick wrists. Hopefully I can add a speedmaster down the road

Very nice! How do you like your PO? I can see myself getting a liquidmetal Planet Ocean down the road.

Awesome watch. I considered the same one but ultimately chose the Navihawk AT instead of it, but not without some level regret.

You and me both. For my next watch, I am torn between a Speedmaster (Dark Side or Grey Side preferred), a plain Jane Rolex GMT II, the liquidmetal Planet Ocean and a Seamaster Aqua Terra (green accents, newer co-axial model)

decided to trade my mudman for a seiko 5 snzg15, less tacticool more casual..
plan to swap original straps for leather nato, will post pictures when that happens

PSA here for you eco-drive guys- I've owned 3 of them and learned the hard way that you have to be careful with them. When I got my first one I read that they had something like 30+ day power reserve, so I didn't feel concerned about putting the watch in the closet for weeks when I wasn't wearing it. Then I learned that that will kill the battery, and it is not very cheap to replace the battery. I found that there are quite a few companies that specialize in replacing the batteries, for about $100 each. They tell you that the watch requires fairly constant light, despite what Citizen says. Treated reasonably well the batteries are supposed to last 5-10 years, then another $100+ to replace it. But my Luminox quartz only needs a battery evey 7 years and I can buy that battery in the drug store and replace it myself. My last eco-drive I sent back to the factory for a new battery, they put in a new movement and sent it back, for a lot more than $100. I am treating it right and hoping it will last awhile.

I've owned my Citizen for only ten weeks. There was a great deal of research involved before making my decision, with much of it is still fresh in my mind.

After reading many reviews, the general consensus seemed to be that the watch should be placed on a dresser near an open window or under a desk lamp when not being worn. The battery is such that it does best when kept mostly fully charged (unlike a cell phone battery that should be discharged from time to time.) There were plenty of people reporting 10-15 years of use so far without a battery change. I don't think the technology has been around to really know if they'll make it to 20 years or more (as has been predicted.) I think the key is to make sure the watch gets plenty of light whether worn or not. So far, I've been very happy with my purchase—again though—only ten weeks.)

Good to know, thank you.
