They were there.......just no one noticed.........the big people tend to overlook the little people.
For me, I would like something with about a 12 inch blade stabbing and chopping ability. Busse KZII, thinned down a bit, with a sharpened top clip. Pared up with a spike hawk, and I am good.
I liked Steve McQueen's choice in the movie "Hell is for Heroes". His matter of fact reply says it all, "butcher knife!"
My aunt called me last year after she was cleaning out some boxes in the garage and found an old knife. She told me, "It was your Uncle Bill's. He brought it back from the war." I went over and she gave me an L.F.& C. 1918! Some where along the line he'd lost the original scabbard and it was stuffed into a metal Mauser bayonet scabbard. In spite of the years it still has some of the blacking on the knuckle grip and the blade. If it was good enough for Uncle Bill, it's good enough for me.

This thing looks cool! I searched and searched for this on all kinds of sites when I first saw it and came up empty, I was surprised. Since when does China NOT export tons of any kind of tool?
I made an offer for two at 30 each, and shipping looks like it would be 50 extra. I went off the fact that they offer a dozen with free shipping for 720. Will see what they counter offer. They're all over the 'bay, at outrageous prices. I'd buy one in the 30 buk range, but not twice that.
Pitbull, I can't post one, but PM me and I'll happily email you one.
