As we all know, theres a plethora of knives to choose from, and just about every manufacturer/maker have their own unique designs, and variations of other types of blades that have been popular through history.

Im curious, what would you guys like to see next year? What brands would you like to see "branch out" to new designs and styles?

I would personally LOVE too see a benchmade karambit. I think a kaarambit with an axis lock would be quite a genious idea, and im shocked benchmade hasnt even entered the karambit/hawkbill area yet.

I would also love to see spyderco or zero tolerance, or heck, even emerson, create a folding knife with a bayonette style blade, or even a dagger blade. Think the benchmade pardue blade.

Heck, while were at it, lets see some chris reeve katanas :)

What would you guys like to see in the knife world a year from now?

Less overbuilt flippers. I would love to see zt's 0452 with studs instead of the flipper. A new CRK folder. I'll leave the designing up to them. Oh and maybe some more carbon steal on modern folders.

◆Re-release the Kershaw Tremor.
◆Buck Endeavor with Plain Edge.
◆Cold Steel Voyager with a spear point blade.
◆Re-release 18 inch CS Bowie Machete.
◆Ontario Rat 1 with a bigger blade.
◆Cold Steel folders with camo scale handles.
◆Estwing Tomahawk with a hammer head on the other side instead of a spike.
◆Condor Bowie machete with 18 inch blade.
◆Ka Bar Bull Dozier machete with 14 or 18 inch clip point blade.

that's all I can think of right now but I have other ideas I forgot.

I thought itd take you guys longer to come up with stuff, but it seems im not the only one dreamin!

What would you guys think of a benchmade karambit in cpm m4?

Do you mean like slimmer flippers? Thats actually a very good idea. Might be cool if zt re-released a couple flippers with recessed liners for a much thinner profile

Thinner and slimmer. Just all around smaller except for blade length. I will not carey a knife that takes up half my pocket space. Did I say ditch the flippers? Then again I'm basically asking them to ditch everything that has made them successful, so I doubt it will happen.
I would also like to see more options in the 4" blade length range.

Ive always wanted a folder where the pocket clip completely disappears, with a glass breaker that is like a retractable ballpoint pen to open it to clip on to your pocket. I would also love it if Frank and Todd Fischer made mid-techs, so i will probably pound sand on both of these.

Benchmade Rukus LE with M4, Spyderco Chinook 4 with the Powerlock, Cold Steel production version of the AD-11 (no, not the 10), ZT come up with a better lock and throw it on an Emerson collab.

Its January of 2015 and we are already talking 2016.

Ok here goes.

Benchmade lowering their prices to something reasonable.
Chris Reeve flipper.
Zero Tolerance Brian Tighe collaboration.
ZT developing its own lock design.

Good knives that are inexpensive.

There's already plenty of those and have been for years...

I'd like to see more steel liner locks (as long as they're well executed like the Gayle Bradley), more folders in the 4" -5" blade range and more folders using Demko's Triad lock...

More use of high end steels in production knives

Less Framelocks (lotta hype taught smack)

Less choil on folders that have abyssmal blade to handle ratios

What I want the most is the Contego fixed blade in 3v plus an inch and a half in blade length and for it to have a normal kydex sheath.
