What your watch says about you...

jappy as in japanese people.

Not trying to be condescending here, that's just the stereotype that I have going on in my head, lame as it is.

:D

Well, we can all agree on lame. I guess that is a more pleasant adjective than first came to mind.

You probably drive a foreign car:p

Yup, a BMW! I like the handling. I tried driving the Mustang and Camaro, but they were too sluggish in their handling. I don't mind being down a little on horses, but I've got to have crisp steering response and agility. Now that Ford is building the Focus SVT, I might reconsider my preference for German cars. I've driven a Focus and it felt pretty good.

Hehehehe

I also don't wear a watch & I believe Hotrod's response to Buzzbait should have been... No! I won't give you the time of day!

Woah... now this is almost scary. Haha. I wear a Citizen Navihawk and drive a 19 year old Nissan Maxima.

what can I say, great minds think alike ... only, i have 6 years until my antique tag, you have 1 (at least in Mississippi). Happy motoring!

20 years old is an antique???? That would mean an '84 2.0 litre VW Rabbit is an Antique? Heaven help me I gave my daughter and antique car!

Dude that Bose, Tag Huer link is chillingly accurate. I can think of at least three people I know who have fallen for it.

I wear a Rolex GMT Master II that my wife bought for me 20 years ago.

I ride a fixed-gear bike.

My wife drives a Chevy Aveo and my son drives a 1998 Suzuki Esteem.

I live in a modest home in a modest neighborhood.

People who have noticed my watch make comments about how much money I wasted.

I like the watch.

I had it serviced ten years ago, and it keeps perfect time.
I do not remember the last time I adjusted it, so I guess it has not lost or gained a minute in ten years.

I plan to have the watch restored and I will give it to one of my sons.

My real prize, a 1941 Hamilton five-position Railroad Special 992B Pocket Watch.
My grandfather bought it in 1941, and Hamilton made it from 1940 parts, since they actually made no 1941 992B's.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

I wear a plastic watch (Casio Protrek Pathfinder Triple Sensor Tough Solar), AND I drive a Ford Tempo.

WHAT???.:D.:D.
Update...2 years later: I now wear a Citizen Eco-Drive SS 300m "Ecozilla", but I'm still driving that good ol' '94 Ford Tempo.:D.

I can't believe this thread is 2 years old. I've been holding off posting much 'cos i just feel sad that my Gold membership has run out and i haven't had time to renew it.

Anyway, 2 year update:

Now i'm wearing an Omega Planet Ocean and drive a Honda Jazz. Great nippy car with quite a good engine (1.5 VTEC). Pay is not that great so i'm happy with the fuel savings. I'm working as a forensic consultant for a fire investigation company (damn..before this i didn't know so many factories are ill equipped in terms of fire safety) and i use my Omega PO every single day. Does't matter if it gets banged up. Still hasn't been banged up because of the job. THe only dent is due to me using my leatherman to knock the pin back into the bracelet. Slipped and hit the case instead.

I neither need nor wear a watch. My butler brings me tea in the morning so I know when it is time to wake up. I can see the clock in the Maybach if I need to know the time when I'm being driven to work. My PA keeps track of the timing meetings for me during the day. In the evening, I am out to enjoy myself and it would be rude to keep worrying about the time.

I wear a Breitling or Zenith watch. Heavy on the complications, which I actually use.

Drive a minivan. But it's a tactical assault minivan. Well, actually it's a Toyota.

Omega Seamaster (8yrs old) & BMW 323 (about 10 yrs old!) here, looking at Breitling for next watch & Volvo C70 as next car.

I think this would be more fun if someone mentioned a watch, and others write up the profile as per the first post.

There has been several watches mentioned here with no "profile"...
