Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Well it's trout time for me and I thought this year I would get myself something that will hopefully last me a lifetime. No more plastic crap for me when it comes to tools I need for hunting and fishing (provided I can carry the extra wight ie backpacking and camping in the back-country)

Grohmann Trout & Bird Knife in Rosewood {not here yet so obviously a stock photo will have to do)
Also my first time dealing with the BF's own KW!

I have a "second" Schrade Heritage Barlow coming later this week. Double X's stamped on the bolster indicating some sort of flaw. I liked it as it has no blade etch and no shield. Looking forward to examining it in person.

The yellow 'Nut in CV arrived today... Very pleased with it. Flawless F&F, great pull n snap and blades perfectly centered. The yellow Delrin has a very pleasant feel to it. Two thumbs up to Case!

Your lucky day! I buy those sometimes as gifts for nephews and bros in law. I have found that the F&F is 50-50. If you get one with centered snappy blades and a decent pull, that's a bonus! The nonsnappy, noncentered blades haven't stopped me. With the low price, and CV steel, I keep buyin' 'em.

A 1985 CaseXX Scout knife with delrin or maybe bone covers. Won it at that auction site and can't really tell what type of condition it's in yet but it looks promising. BTW this knife was born the same year I was so I am really looking forward to it. Can't wait to clean it up and use it. Just hoping it's in decent condition.

My first and most likely not my last GEC -- an Easy Open, Antique Yellow Jig Bone #15 Huckleberry Boy's Knife. Curses! My better half is not going to be happy.

This just came in...it was cheap and I didn't have an example like it.

A Victoria marked Climber with a secondary clip blade.

Probably early 70's.

A few of Boggs Stockmen and a Muskrat of his. Older Schrade iterations. Need to get that man to put me on his will. :D

I find it passing strange that there isn't more of a buzz about these on the Forums, but then again, it's kind of an odd design. I'm drawn to it somehow. The master blade kind of reminds me of an Emerson CQC-8 or Horseman (if you'll forgive the modern reference :o.) Closed, it looks like a gnarly old witch finger (maybe they ought to have called it the "Witchfinger Whittler"... :D) Anyhoo, I like the secondary coping-and-pen blade pattern, the overall dimensions, the materials, the backpring configuration...:cool:

Apparently, the Queen #47 Humpback Whittler was a short run of 30 pieces (at least in stag, anyway) released in January of this year, and they are quietly slipping away on the vendors' websites. I decided that I'd kick m'self if I missed out! I, too, now have a Queen #47 Witchfinger Whittler en route... ;)
