Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Just got this one in from Ed G, a beautiful primitive bone single blade Scout. Lovin' the long pull!

Sensation Jeff! Beats stag or ivory in my view, so much to look at as it's complex stuff, visually absorbing! How's the thickness?

Thanks, Will

Thanks, Will, the thickness is just how I like 'em, symmetrical and thicker at the butt of the knife.

I also got this stainless Mini-hunter from Ed G last week, in beautiful red wine bone.

Yes, that's exactly right for that type of Barehead knife Jeff.

Dinosaur Bone eh? Well could be Fossilized Bull Shin....:D It really is unquestionably great bone with a lot of character, fine buy!

Thanks, Will

Will, it's one reason I prefer bareheads-- you can't get that kind of sweeping flare with an end cap.
And besides, why cover the beautiful bone, anyway??

My thoughts exactly! Barehead is IT.

Still impatiently waiting for my CASE/Bose Teardrop. That one is Jack and not Barehead, but it's testing the waters as it were.

Thanks, Will

Just ordered a GEC #92 Talon with the Wharncliffe blade and OD green linen micarta handles. This is a knife I have wanted someone to make for quite some time.

Hey Foto, tough choice between the two for sure. I've been checking out the USPS tracking already this am, Lol!

Nerfin, you are not alone I have tracked my knife across two states today! I am a tracking system junkie :D

Guess what arrived today? What a great little knife. Fit and finish, bone colour, blades all perfect. Case did a great job on the Swayback Jack!

That is a reflection on the spine of the knife...

No gaps, really nicely finished...

The jigging is great!

Time to work on the patina!

Just placed the order for two knives in the US:

- GEC #73 in Primitve Bone and 440C steel
- Queen Cutlery Gunstock in Honey Amber Bone and D2

... now the wait beginns...

I've been on a bit of a German run recently. I just ordered one of these...

...and one of these...

...a down side to ordering online from a remote island. The wait. Sigh.

What is the make of the stockmen?

They are both Carl Schlieper with carbon steel blades, the congress is only 2 1/2 inches closed :D
I don't read German well and it took me forever to order them from the website.

Got my second natural canvas bullnose inbound. I Love how these turned out and just couldn't resist getting a backup.

Friedrich Olbertz is making nice pocketknives - I like them much. Though their F&F could be better, I think they are real working horses. I ordered one of their Cattleman´s Knife last month and it went straight back to the factory due to its large gaps and heavy blade play. When it has returned, everything was well - gapless and the backspring like an alligator.

Thanks Andi, I think I'm still glad I ordered them *gulp*. I hope they come to me in good shape, it'll be a long round trip to get back to the Workshop! :D

I've got a spear/pen Charlow inbound. I thought the micarta 71 bullnose was going to be my last knife purchase for a while, but then someone had to point out that there were still some Charlows floating around from the last run. Couldn't not have at least one ;)

Just purchased a GEC 92 Talon OD Green in both Spear and Wharncliffe blade - I couldn't make up my mind on which one I'd prefer!

My recent acquisitions.
