Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

More than I usually lay out for a knife. And a departure from my usual area of accumulation, let alone use. But I stumbled across this and had to snap it up. It'll be cleaned up and I'll take some nice portraits when it's ready.

I googled the mark (TB Hawksworth, Carlisle Works [Sheffield]) and the firm is noted in the British Trade Journal of 1879. Enough time on Bernard Levine's forum has made me a hardened skeptic but it'd be neat if actually true.

Thanks to an awesome member (pmew) I now have a GEC #15 with a Sheepsfoot main on the way to me!!! Hopefully the vender I had another knife ordered with will have mercy and cancel my order. ::fingers crossed::

I just scored a very nice 1970's vintage Puma Earl (folder) with stag slabs. It should be here after the labor day weekend.

I've got my first case knife in quite awhile coming next week. A small gunstock jack in barnboard jigged bone. I'm really digging the mini and small traditionals lately.
Next up will most likely be a Trappernut.

Case Mini Copperhead, navy blue scales. I wanted a small but not peanut sized gentlemanly folder. The wharncliffe main blade looks interesting and different from other knives I have, both the main and pen blades are on the single spring so the knife should not be too bulky. I would have liked it to have half-stop, but can't get everything. Another option was small Texas Toothpick, but let's see this one first.

I want to know who snagged the Madison Barlow in mammoth ivory that appeared on KSF last night and was gone this morning. It was a beauty.

I want to thank them for removing the temptation.

That was absolutely the nicest Madison Barlow we had. I snagged it for my personal collection, but Jason persuaded me to let him take a picture....the rest is history.

I saw that pop up as well, it was gone pretty quickly. My wallet thanks the buyer, too :)

However, it looks like these knives are like weeds, they just keep coming...

Looks like KSF found some more stuff in the move. No complaints here, I love these little guys

I saw that Madison and immediately put it in my shopping cart the evening it appeared. After agonizing over it for about 20 minutes I finally convinced myself that for the money there are two other knives I'd rather have. But it was touch-and-go.

It was a real beauty.
