Thank you, Duncan. I got it in the mail today! :)

That harness jack looks so good that I have to do a double take to make sure that it's a GEC and not a vintage knife... even though I have one. GEC did an incredible job.

I've been on a roll lately and have bought too many knives this year :D I should have a Case Tiny Trapper wharncliffe and a CV Sodbuster Jr. in the mail today, and that will do it for 2011.

I put my name on Jeff Mutz's list for another single blade canoe like this one. I like it so much I don't have to waste effort being original... :)

Horn scales and Jeff's own damascus. This might be Jeff's file photo of Jani's (the jamppa) knife. I'm not sure though.

Yesterday I ordered:

- Case Stockman Yellow Delrin CV
- RR Sowbelly Stockman Tobacco Smooth Bone
- RR Opener in Jigged Amber Bone

I´m waiting which of that order is available. Usually just one piece, the others have be choosen new from the catalogue. So it is, liking and collecting Traditionals in Germany...

Kind regards
Andi

After a quiet wait and lots of watching, I finally took a step towards this knife: my first GEC

THat is a really nice looking knife, I hope it does not disappoint :)

Kevin, I will tell you what I think in two weeks, and possibly post some pics and a small review...but I trust the opinions of the people on this forum so I don't think I will be disappointed at all. It's my first GEC, and I was lucky to find this particular version (since I preferred a stainless knife this time) and I know I will enjoy it much. I don't buy many knives at all...so any newcomer gets a welcome party :D

Fausto, I don't think you will be disappointed. GEC does great work and that one is stunning IMO. I really like 440c.

I have the exact same knife except with the sheepsfoot blade. Really pretty piece, delicate but sturdy and will disappear in your pocket. You'll not be disappointed:)

I've enjoyed my BSA tan plastic Peanut so much I've got an olive bone Collector's Club version on the way.

I just love how they sit in my jeans' watch pocket, what a great little knife!

Ed, Jani, that Mutz canoe...those scales...whoa momma!!

Just placed an order for a Scagel Fruitport clip in ivory...waiting patiently now :D

Funny, I'm tinkering with my Fruitport whilst reading this thread. Mine is a clip in bone, really lovely thing, enjoy:)

You know, I'm hoping that the ivory has some decently nice grain to it because I really like the look of the bone scales. Just hoping it's nice enough to justify the cost difference, cause I know I'd be happy with the bone as well

Have been searching around for a link showing pic's of the ivory scales on the Fruitport with really nice, subtle graining. Couldn't find it, sorry:( Ivory has annual rings like a tree so if cut right this will show nicely. Fingers crossed.

Nathan, I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get it. I've got some that store's credit sitting around and looking bored...

Will do, I'll get some pics and thoughts up when it arrives. Knife store credit...it's a terrible thing to waste :D

a superb little knife and the elk scales are the gear.
my snakewood white owl clip is on way to the great southern land as we type..

THis has been a week of weakness for me.
1. Case Gunboat in mediterranean blue. I don't think i'll like the color so tentative plan is to rehandle.
2. GEC Tidioute stockman blue acrylic.

I have a thing for 3 blades. Both should be in early next week.
