After something like three months of hemming and hawing and drooling over pictures of them, I finally caved and ordered a Schatt & Morgan #69 sheepsfoot Barlow. It checks so many of my personal boxes:

• Favorite blade type? Check.
• Favorite pull style (long matchstriker)? Check.
• Natural handle material? Check.
• Stamped bolster? Check.
• Stainless? Check.

The only way it could be more perfect is if they'd fully sunk the joint.

Bought an interesting cattle knife from the Exchange. It's a Dan Burke design made by Queen (top knife in the photo). All stainless construction and the blade steel is BG-42. BG-42 is uncommon on a traditional knife. So I thought I'd give it a try. Looking forward to it.

...and yet another O-1 tool steel GEC Bullnose in orange Delrin. Just had to buy it, especially from a authorized GEC dealer who just happened to find he had some in stock. Of course, it wasn't one in Micarta, which I've been looking for, but O-1 NIT is a prize IMHO.
