Ordered an acrylic Beer Scout this morning. Not 100% on if I like this run's acrylic, but I wanted to see one in hand.

Boker stag hunter's lockblade, 440C locking spear blade, saw, corkscrew. I had the dealer cherry pick me one with the best stag and fit and finish. Looking forward to it.

Nice! I would love to hear how you like that. I have eyed that one several times but the price tag is pretty high on that.

Laura just informed me that she ordered this last night as a way of saying thank you. I had brought it up to her almost a year ago and am impressed that she remembered. I don't have a 110, or a Buck for that matter, so Im excited. I may get a nice belt sheath for it.

You're a lucky guy! I was just thinking this morning how nice a custom 110 would be. I've spent hours playing on their sight building the "perfect" 110.

I finally gave in and ordered a couple peanuts in chestnut bone/ cv. One is for me, and the other will be a gift.

Erik, my wife reminds me of how lucky I am on a daily basis almost. You both are right. :D.

What did you come up with as your perfect 110?

It's been a while since I toyed around on the sight, but if I recall I ended up with nickle silver bolsters, rivers, buffalo horn(rosewood was a close second), and a drop point blade. Although I would probably get hung up on the blade style. I think the drop point looks really cool, but that beautiful clip is just so right on the knife.

Brett, that 110 looks great. But dang it, now it's got me thinking I should have a Buck in my collection... :/

Erik, that sounds like a beauty brother. I toyed with the idea of a drop point, but wanted to try their s30v back when I mentioned it to Laura.

John I appreciate that buddy. I have always thought that if you're going to have a collection it needs to have the iconic patterns and at least one sample from each major cutlery company, for example the Buck 110 and Case Peanut. This of course is just an opinion, but I like the idea of owning my piece of American history even if it is a present example.

So, in short, of course you need a 110. :D

Nice Brett!! I have an old 110. Dad just got it at the hardware store so it's the basic model but he carried and used it for probably 20 years straight. He gave it to me when he decided to go with a more pocket friendly knife. I stuck it in my tackle box so that it goes fishing with me every time I go.
